Sulaco Posted July 11, 2007 Report Posted July 11, 2007 And what is really going to blow your mind is that I find your assertion to be laughable. You and millions more. I get it all the time. What blows my mind is how many people think my assertions are laughable. You must be proud. Strange where people find pride. Quote Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it. White Doors Posted July 11, 2007 Report Posted July 11, 2007 I remember John Lennon telling me to imagine no possessions from the back seat of his Rolls Royce Phanton V. Quoted for hypocritical hilarity! Quote Those Dern Rednecks done outfoxed the left wing again.~blueblood~
scribblet Posted July 11, 2007 Report Posted July 11, 2007 Agreed...people are getting tired of these pampered babies and hypocritical behavior. I remember John Lennon telling me to imagine no possessions from the back seat of his Rolls Royce Phanton V. Maybe some day "celebrities" will be an endangered species. Not to mention their double standards and hypocrisy e.g. Ann Murray and windmills NIMBY, and Bono moving his wealth to a new tax haven, Amsterdam so he doesn't pay taxes, but wants us to continue paying out for his favourite charity of the day. Catchme Posted July 11, 2007 Report Posted July 11, 2007 It was an excellent action 2 billion people participated, if even a 1/3 get active it will be a huge plus. More on latest news on Global warming; The strongest evidence to date that the sun is not responsible for recent global warming has been set out by scientists. The new study by Prof Michael Lockwood of the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, near Oxfordshire, and Claus Fröhlich of the World Radiation Center in Davos, Switzerland, overturns claims by climate sceptics who say that the planet's climate has long fluctuated and that current warming is just part of that natural cycle - the result of variation in the sun's output and not greenhouse gas emissions. Their study appears in the Proceedings of the Royal Society A. "This paper is the final nail in the coffin for people who would like to make the sun responsible for present global warming," Stefan Rahmstorf, a climate scientist at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research in Germany, told the journal Nature. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/main.jhtm...1/scisun111.xml Quote When the rich wage war, it's the poor who die. ~Jean-Paul Sartre

jbg Posted August 8, 2007 Report Posted August 8, 2007 As I observed the scene something struck me: The thousands of faces gazing blankly at the screens above- spewing hatred for certain ways that we live our lives- seemed eerily like an indoctrination scene out of George Orwell's 1984.Does anyone really believe the cr@p that the Kyoto-ists are spewing? Quote Free speech: "You can say what you want, but I don't have to lend you my megaphone." Always remember that when you are in the right you can afford to keep your temper, and when you are in the wrong you cannot afford to lose it. - J.J. Reynolds. Will the steps anyone is proposing to fight "climate change" reduce a single temperature, by a single degree, at a single location? The mantra of "world opinion" or the views of the "international community" betrays flabby and weak reasoning (link).
