Aljazeera.net: The military wing of the Palestinian Hamas movement has said a five-month truce with the Israeli army "no longer exists" after it fired dozens of rockets into the Jewish state. The statement came after the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades said it had fired nearly 30 rockets and 61 mortars into Israel on Tuesday. Abu Obaida, a spokesman for the brigades, told AFP: "The truce no longer exists. "It's the Israeli enemy that has not respected it and now it's the turn of Palestinian groups," he said. Apparently it's Israel's fault, too. I am unaware of any attempts on the Bush Administration's part to attack Israel. Or Gaza/West Bank... That same article (for which you inconveniently failed to provide a link) noted that Hamas explained that their abandonment of the cease fire was due to Israel killing nine Palestinians the other day. So it seems that your contention that Hamas started it is questionable. It's pretty hard to stick to a ceasefire while your counterparty is killing you.
