Michael Bluth Posted May 4, 2007 Report Posted May 4, 2007 Trying now to say that the Liberals had stylists. Shame on you, you truely aren't as good as the CPC spinmeisters. It was mentioned in the early days of this thread that Chretien and Martin used stylists for TV appearences and that was all, and if I recall correctly it was the CBC stylist and makeup people. It is also quite stunning the lies presented as evidence that Michelle Muntean was fired by Harper. It is out and out a lie. As much evidence was provided for Muntean being fired as for the use of the "CBC stylist" as for the firing of Muntean. Why is one a lie and the other overlooked? Shakeyhands Posted May 4, 2007 Report Posted May 4, 2007 WOW Bluth. you are almost a master spinner. Trying now to say that the Liberals had stylists. Shame on you, you truely aren't as good as the CPC spinmeisters. It was mentioned in the early days of this thread that Chretien and Martin used stylists for TV appearences and that was all, and if I recall correctly it was the CBC stylist and makeup people. From what we are to understand this woman travelos with Harper and does this all the time and draws a salary paid for by you and I. This isn't a "The Liberals did it, why can't we" issue. Your spin attempt was amatuerish at best. Where did you get that it was the CBC stylist and makeup people? How do I go from "almost" being a master spinner to amateurish at best? I said from what i can remember which implies I could be recalling incorrectly, if they paid a stylist to do them up for TV then fine. and I also stand corrected, it was amateurish. Michael Bluth Posted May 4, 2007 Report Posted May 4, 2007 I said from what i can remember which implies I could be recalling incorrectly, if they paid a stylist to do them up for TV then fine. Convenient how your "memory" paints the Liberals in the most favourable light. Quote No one has ever defeated the Liberals with a divided conservative family. - Hon. Jim Prentice

Not so amateurish as to claim that Muntean was fired by Harper. That was an out and out lie. Quote

I have no idea who the stylists where, how does that apply to this siutuation anyway? If you were responding to the posts instead of trying to spin this, you would realize that no one begrudges that Harper needs a stylist, its his arrogance that we don't need to know what it is costing us. guyser Posted May 4, 2007 Report Posted May 4, 2007 ..realize that no one begrudges that Harper needs a stylist, its his arrogance that we don't need to know what it is costing us. That , coupled with the Harper rant about Mannings wardrobe, is the gist of the discussion, save for the Rovian tactics to spin it . Now watch this get spun. Quote

That , coupled with the Harper rant about Mannings wardrobe, is the gist of the discussion, save for the Rovian tactics to spin it . Now watch this get spun. Did Harper ever criticize Chretien's or Martin's wardrobe? There is a big difference between the image of a party leader and the image of the Prime Minister, who represents our country. Secondly, yes people are trying to make a big deal out of Harper needing a stylist and, more accurately, who should pay for it. It's likely arrogance out of frustration, for the media trying to tear him down on every little thing. Yesterday, Robert Fife, basically blamed him for the Shayne Doan incident. Please, let's debate who was more arrogant, Chretien, Martin or Harper and who took the greatest advantage of the taxpayer, Chetien, Martin or Harper. Tell me who you think and why. Quote

Tell me who you think and why. Thats not the debate. From what I understand it was merely a fun topic skewering Harper for his rant on Manning and then doing the same later on. No more no less. You can look up my first post and I beleive I admitted he should have a consultant, it s not that much money and it makes him look better on the world stage, and frankly he needs it. Make it a permanent post for all I care. One extra seat on the PM's plane is not going to upset me. One extra salary is not going to upset me. As for your question , I am unsure who did. There is a tie for first place , and the guy in third place hasn't had enough time to catch up. Judging by some things he has done, maybe he will catch up,but I kind of doubt it. Quote

There is a big difference between the image of a party leader and the image of the Prime Minister, who represents our country. And this of course justifies hiring a make-up artist and hiding the fact that she is paid for with taxpayer money and then rebuffing all attempts to learn what she is being paid. Quote
Michael Bluth Posted May 4, 2007 Report Posted May 4, 2007 Funny. Harper's stylist doubles as his psychic adviser. Any proof she provided psychic advice? Yet, you accuse people of lying. jdobbin Posted May 5, 2007 Author Report Posted May 5, 2007 any word yet on the cost of under pants controversy? Keep digging! I'm sure Harper's wife lays those out for him. He looks like a Sponge-Bob boxer shorts man. But he keeping spinning, please. Quote
