Hello~!-

I am wondering, if problems that relate to inappropriate decisions from HEADS of justice departments within each province, should they be held accountable?

If there is no responsibility taken by the MINISTERS, or MAYORS for errors within Justice Departments in large cities, should we not hold separate ELECTIONS in order to give VOICE back to the people?

Do you not feel that this would hold them accountable for their actions, or INACTIONS?

The issue isn't about how people get into a position...it's about what we do as members of society to hold them accountable in the face of their actions.

Plenty of elected people prove to be corrupt...the fact of electing someone and thereby giving "power to the people" really does nothing to improve the quality of the person selected.

Granted, if the corrupt person needs to get re-elected it does give one way to get rid of them...but it also opens a huge opportunity for conflict of interest. I don't want a prosecutor letting off a member of the Sikh community (just a random example btw) because the leaders of that community promise to support her bid for re-election.

I'm fine with non-elected positions...because invariably there is already an elected person who is responsible. If no action is taken to remove a corrupt Chief of Police in the province, then the Solicitor General and Minister are at risk of losing their jobs.

The key is to not be apathetic. When we have corruption revealed, we should be outraged and persistent in demanding heads to roll...not just shrug our shoulders say, "it figures" and sit down with a beer to watch the hockey game.

FTA,

NOt all CIRCUMSTANCE are shrugging shoulders, some are due to illness that these people are dealing with DUE to corruptions, and INAPPROPRIATE behavior by persons in power positions. Now is it up to an individual who is suffering DUE TO a PHYSICAL condition of NOT being able to hold persons in power positions accountable?

Also People have to make a living, how on EARTH can a person deal with all the RED TAPE?

My experience (which you will all know about in the coming months) is that if a person in a power position has caused a GAVE error, and almost cost a human life.......

They try to clean it up, and sweep it out the door with the "PERCEPTION" of others thinking -

shrug our shoulders say, "it figures" and sit down with a beer to watch the hockey game.

I am outraged at the things that have gone on with my own situation and I believe that they count on the fact that if they create ENOUGH red tape, and BS, they never have to face the truth of their own mistake's....

Case in point is the Duke Lacrosse case. he was an elected DA and was up for election at the time. Lets hope he nevers sees a courtroom again , and loses his shirt.
