Michael Bluth Posted April 12, 2007 Report Posted April 12, 2007 From today's Toronto Star. Link (Free but you need to sign up.) Williams still is not satisfied with this list of choices. He apparently believes Newfoundland should get more equalization, even if it leaves his province with more revenue per capita than Ontario, whose taxpayers foot a large part of the equalization bill that goes to his province.Williams, who ordered the removal of all Canadian flags from provincial government buildings in 2004 because he was unhappy with an offer by Martin on offshore royalties, should know his antics are wearing thin. More important, Williams should realize that Harper, and the taxpayers of Ontario, have already given him more than enough. "But a promise is a promise." OK Danny boy, quiet time. Newspaper's from across the spectrum are coming out against you. Your "principles" are nothing but greed at this point. Martin Chriton Posted April 12, 2007 Report Posted April 12, 2007 I have a feeling that nothing Harper could've done would've made him happy. No amount of money will ever be "enough" Quote

Michael Bluth Posted April 12, 2007 Author Report Posted April 12, 2007 I have a feeling that nothing Harper could've done would've made him happy. No amount of money will ever be "enough" I thought the whole point of equalization was so the provinces could provide relatively equal levels of services. But Danny is arguing that he should get cash so he could better services than all but one province? hmmmm Quote No one has ever defeated the Liberals with a divided conservative family. - Hon. Charles Anthony Posted April 12, 2007 Report Posted April 12, 2007 Another thread about danny williams, this has been beaten to death, revived, killed again and beaten some more,I agree with your assessment but as a point of order... Charles Anthony, close this thing.... no! I do not moderate. In other words, I do not close nor edit nor merge threads. Greg, the one and only moderator does that. You should just report this thread and your message will get to him. Please check this post from a different thread: Before discussing the merits of using obscene language, permit me to make something clear: I am not a moderator. It would make no sense for me to be a moderator. My political beliefs are too extreme and I am not always level-headed. I am a forum facilitator with the job of dealing with spam and helping other members with formatting their post. I have no authority to decide what members are permitted to post. My job is to hide advertizements so that they may be deleted later by the forum administrator. Greg, the forum administrator is currently and so far has been the only moderator. If you post something objectionable, he will decide whether it should be deleted or edited. If I see something that is objectionable or a contravention of the forum rules, I will report it to him just like every other member reports objectionable posts. I make my report public in the thread to notify other members who might want to report the post too. That way, the moderator does not receive many reports for the same post.
