JerrySeinfeld Posted March 5, 2007 Report Posted March 5, 2007 I have't visited this site in a bit and noticed no one seems to have picked up on Al Gore's apparent hypocrisy. Average household in Nashville used about 15,000 kilowatt hours of energy. Al Gore's house? It used about 200,000 kilowatt hours - ten times the average. Isn't this just more evidence that the environment is a political tool used as a trojan horse for socialism - a tool which the very top echolons of the movement don't even believe in? Quote
BubberMiley Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 That's because when it was swiftly discredited as another right-wing, full of crap swift-boat style organization making shit up, it promptly disappeared from the headlines. There is no end to the hypocrisy of the Goracle. Quote

Gosh, the numbers change (ever higher) everytime I see this rightwing talking point repeated. What's a good rightwing smear job without a little exaggeration eh? Quote

I think it's just more evidence that right-wingers think they can say whatever lies they want. All that matters is getting it splashed across FoxNews et al for a couple of days before someone calls them on it. They figure the base is too stupid to look into the claim any further. I guess Seinfeld might be proof that assumption is correct. Quote "I think it's fun watching the waldick get all excited/knickers in a knot over something." -scribblet
BC_chick Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 To add to the posts around here saying these claims were discredited..... a) renewable energy solar panels already in the works Quote It's kind of the worst thing that any humans could be doing at this time in human history. JerrySeinfeld Posted March 6, 2007 Author Report Posted March 6, 2007 Holy schykees. Doesn't take much to precipitate a liberal hissy fit around these parts. Can you say "staunch religion?" Imagine if they actually WERE lies Even the Gore camp doesn't deny the facts - they merely make claims of "carbon offsets" Quote
Black Dog Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 It's clear that our pal Jerry is the type who'd walk into an elevator, shit his pants and then deride everyone else for complaining about the smell. Also, his definition of "hissy fit" is rather, uh, liberal. Now this is a hissy-fit. Quote
geoffrey Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 a) renewable energy There is no form of renewable energy that is either reliable enough, or truly green. B ) solar panels already in the works Toxic waste concerns. The manufacturing of enough panels to meet our demand would be a massive toxic disaster and release many mega tonnes of CO2... for panels that last a decade and then cost several times their initial value to dispose of.
