His only way to get votes is to play the sympathy "poor homo guy" , otherwise his support is down the drain. The "R" word is a no-no because that just alienates the voters. He can't stand up for issues,because he doesn't know what to say about them. So it's back to the teary eyed "homo" topic to try to get votes.
