Figleaf Posted January 26, 2007 Report Posted January 26, 2007 It must be a joke of some kind. Check out the FAQ: "Do Genpets bite? Genpets should not bite, however Bio-Genica does sell the tooth remover kit." Quote
GostHacked Posted January 27, 2007 Report Posted January 27, 2007 I thought this was debunked some time ago. It was an artistic display at a show somewhere. http://www.brandejs.ca/portfolio5/gp01.php explains it all. No need to worry, these are not true biological engineered lifeforms. Quote

Kind of like Dean Koontz' "Watchers"? Good book. I think this is a hoax along the lines of the "Kitten in a bottle" that was going around a couple of years ago. BC_chick Posted January 28, 2007 Author Report Posted January 28, 2007 A few people are on this thread saying the site's a hoax. I'm not arguing that it's not a hoax (even the person who sent it to me said let's hope it's a joke), but as I pointed out to the first naysayer on this thread.... There is a link to a National Geographics article where something of the sort is being created. Therefore, even if this particular form of the "pet" is a joke, it's based on reality and something of the sort is indeed in the works. myata Posted January 30, 2007 Report Posted January 30, 2007 I think genetics science is quite away still from being able to do anything like this, so I wouldn't worry about it for the time. And if anything even remotely plausible will come up, you're bound to hear about it on all news. Quote If it's you or them, the truth is equidistant
