Why do I feel like a real-life sci-fi movie could come out of this.

Kind of like Dean Koontz' "Watchers"?

Good book.

I think this is a hoax along the lines of the "Kitten in a bottle" that was going around a couple of years ago.

Harper differed with his party on some key policy issues; in 1995, for example, he was one of only two Reform MPs to vote in favour of federal legislation requiring owners to register their guns.

"You've got to remember that west of Winnipeg the ridings the Liberals hold are dominated by people who are either recent Asian immigrants or recent migrants from eastern Canada: people who live in ghettoes and who are not integrated into western Canadian society." A few people are on this thread saying the site's a hoax. I'm not arguing that it's not a hoax (even the person who sent it to me said let's hope it's a joke), but as I pointed out to the first naysayer on this thread....

There is a link to a National Geographics article where something of the sort is being created. Therefore, even if this particular form of the "pet" is a joke, it's based on reality and something of the sort is indeed in the works.

I think genetics science is quite away still from being able to do anything like this, so I wouldn't worry about it for the time. And if anything even remotely plausible will come up, you're bound to hear about it on all news.

I have one in my basement, it fetches me the paper in the mornings and turns on the coffee.

I'm waiting for the model that can also make toast and scrambled eggs. I hear it is due out summer 2007. :D

The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. - Ayn Rand

The way this discussion is headed, I don't even want to think about the nefarious motivations behind the 'tooth remover kit'.
