SamStranger Posted December 15, 2006 Author Report Posted December 15, 2006 hahaha. BRAVO Liberals.... you have managed to take over this board. Its soooooo strange how (in my poll) 13 people supported the tories and only 7 the Liberals... yet I was the only person that supported harper on this thread... funny eh? Man! You guys forget the 13 years of Liberal Waste, Mismanagement, and Corruption! 13 years of NO Tax Cuts, NO help for parents, NO help for students, NO help for seniors, NOTHING on the environment, and a bunch of lies and scandals. Man, call me "ideological" but I would rather support a party of good governance (Conservative) over a party tangled in a web of shit. SamStranger Posted December 15, 2006 Author Report Posted December 15, 2006 Its an Anglo-Albertan vs. Another Liberal that can barely speak english Well if racists like Harper, how bad can he be? So im raccist against French White People? (Dion) I must be accist against myself, an English White Person. Stick to knitting . Hydraboss Posted December 15, 2006 Report Posted December 15, 2006 M.Dancer, would you mind making that Anglo-Albertan-racist crack just one more time? Only first I would like you to call 630CHED in Edmonton (talk radio) and then say it. It would help the seperation thing more than many other things that could be said. Please? They have an 800 number. Quote "racist, intolerant, small-minded bigot" - AND APPARENTLY A SOCIALIST (2010) (2015)Economic Left/Right: 8.38 3.38 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 3.13 -1.23

(Liberal) No tax cuts, huh? I suppose with all the goodness oozing out of the Tories that they would be far in the lead in the polls by now. This poll on the other hand is what you would expect for this forum. Quote
mikedavid00 Posted December 16, 2006 Report Posted December 16, 2006 Man, call me "ideological" but I would rather support a party of good governance (Conservative) over a party tangled in a web of shit. (Liberal) I agree. The Liberals promise, do nothing, pander, promise, do nothing, pander, call and election, pander, promise, do nothing, prmose, call another elction, pander, do nothing, promise. And so the cycle of life continues. But keep in mind this was Chretien that did this. Thus I'm concerned that Dion will be a 'do something' gov't that could ruin us. Our gov't has dictator powers that have the potential to ruin the country: ie: Mulrouny. mikedavid00 Posted December 16, 2006 Report Posted December 16, 2006 I'd rather vote for Paul Martin than Stephan Dion. So, it'll be the Conservatives for me. I agree. At least Martin owns a business and knows how to deal with things fiscally. Dion? He's a prof with idealisms. It's this sort of person that will do all the deep thinking that will get us in deep doo doo. BTW: polls released saying Libs are down 2 points CPC up 2points. stignasty Posted December 16, 2006 Report Posted December 16, 2006 My Conservative backbencher will be re-elected with 70% of the vote. It doesn't matter who I vote for. Quote "It may not be true, but it's legendary that if you're like all Americans, you know almost nothing except for your own country. geoffrey Posted December 16, 2006 Report Posted December 16, 2006 My Conservative backbencher will be re-elected with 70% of the vote. It doesn't matter who I vote for. I wouldn't be suprised to see a rural Alberta MP in cabinet as Nat. resources or argiculture. There is no rural representation right now (well, some of them are crazy)... That is unless you live in a city, then it's going to be much of the same. The only urban Alberta non-current minister that might get a portfolio is Kenney. (Liberal) I'd call you "uninformed" aside from "ideological". Martin dolled out the biggest tax cuts this country has ever seen. It was the Tories across the country who screwed the students, but they are too stupid to vote so they deserve it. Seniors get $6,000 in tax free cash annually whenever their incomes are lower than the average salary - those whose incomes are between the average salary and $93,000 still get tax free cash but in smaller amounts - I really don't see seniors suffering. From what I see so far, Harper has really stepped up the tax cuts - increasing income tax rates and taxing income trusts. The students are getting a big break too (must be happening somewhere in the janitors' rooms in parliament because I haven't even heard the Conservatives mention the word "students"). The environment is much better off now that Harper has made it clear that he won't move a finger on the issue. It's just a HUGE shift in policy compared to the liberals. Quote

Could she get Rona's seat? Or is Harper still afraid that she may be after his seat? Quote
Ricki Bobbi Posted December 16, 2006 Report Posted December 16, 2006 What about Ablonczy? Could she get Rona's seat? Or is Harper still afraid that she may be after his seat? That wouldn't happen for three reasons. 1. Calgary can't have three members of cabinet. 2. Edmonton needs representation in cabinet. 3. Ablonczy was a little too vocal about her exclusion from the original cabinet. geoffrey Posted December 17, 2006 Report Posted December 17, 2006 1. Calgary can't have three members of cabinet. I disagree. I don't think anyone would be bothered by it. But Albonczy is the wrong choice. She defending the extradition of Arar which wouldn't play well in today's climate. She's also a proven Western sepertist, which is fine by me, but the opposition would make a deal out of it. 2. Edmonton needs representation in cabinet. That's Rona's job. 3. Ablonczy was a little too vocal about her exclusion from the original cabinet. She's a little too vocal about alot of things. I think you would hear howls of disapproval from the Toronto Star and Globe and Mail if there were three Calgarians in cabinet. Probably withiin the caucus as well. Rumour was that originally Ablonczy was in and Solberg out. Small town Alberta howled. A third cabinet minister from Calgary? Obhrai or Anders? 2. I mentioned Edmonton needing representation in cabinet in response to the suggest of Ablonczy taking Rona's spot. How about Jaffer getting put in if Rona gets yanked? Raises his profile, puts another vizmin in cabinet and puts his riding out of touch...
