What "mistake"?

Your post is nothing but a cheap attempt to bait another poster. Grow up.

Piss off, don't tell me to grow up. Just who is trying to bait who?

Gerry's *mistake* was in saying that the majority of Canadians don't support the mission in Afghanistan. Which they clearly do from the results of the OP.

Haven't seen him concede anything?

Is he truly allowed to attack people over and over?

Why not tell him to grow up?

It's interesting that the majority of Canadians actually support this thing, what with all the bombing and deaths there lately. I wonder if this a support the government thing or a support the troops thing.

Probably a little bit of both.

There is always bombings and deaths in a military deployment. Seems like people are again seeing the link between the mission and our efforts to combat terrorism.

One possible interpretation of these numbers is that Harper has been successful in his dishonest linking of the mission with support of the troops.

Another interpretation is that 57% of Canadians support the mission. Just attacking the Tories again is pretty weak, but that's self evident.

I agree with your interpretation absolutely, but it isn't at odds with the possible interpretation I mentioned. If Canadians have begun to confuse support of the mission with support of the troops - as Harper has been purposely doing, then both interpretations apply.

And how am I attacking the Tories?

It is a demonstrated fact that Harper has been linking support for the troops with support for the mission.

Given that, I am offering one possible interpretation of this poll.

Shark, don't get worried about it. Gerry is allowed to attack posters here on MLW. But if you say anything back you'll get a *warning*. Life isn't always fair. But the vast majority of posters here see Gerry's attacks as mean-spirited and unfair.

He has insulted enough people, time and again that he should be gone. For some reason he has been given free rein to break the rules.

Ricki, some advice:

Stop focussing on me and just debate the issues.

Take whatever warning you received under advisement.

Don't slander me in the name of the "vast majority of posters here", of whom you know nothing.

Stop incessantly accusing me of past wrongs like "breaking the rules".

I get no special treatment here. If you get banned, it will be your own fault, not because you dared to say anything back to me.

Gerry's *mistake* was in saying that the majority of Canadians don't support the mission in Afghanistan.

Did I say that someplace? Where? When?

I'll debate the issues when you do.

I have provided examples time and again when you have broken the rules.

Your behaviour has changed becaouse of a warning or new meds, but something has caused the changed for the better.

Don't break the rules and I have no foot to stand on. Break the rules and I'll point it out every time.

Of that I wouldn't argue, except to add that they are examples of when YOU believe I've broken the rules.

How many times have you bothered the forum admin with your empty complaints about me I wonder.

Your behaviour has changed becaouse of a warning or new meds, but something has caused the changed for the better.

New meds, huh? And you wonder why you get warned.

No Ricki, no warning from mods to me and no new meds. No old meds either.

This back and forth that you always innitiate over how I'm supposedly so hateful and always break the rules is in itself breaking rules Ricki. Stay on topic and don't bait other posters.

If you have an insatiable need to make accusations against me then go start a topic in the "support and questions" area. Your habit of constantly doing it in political topics is very polluting.

Either that or limit it to reporting your concerns to the mod. Although I can't speak for others I'm sure very few posters are interested in reading your complaints.

Which rule did I break Gerry?

I'm not baiting anybody. If you feel that i have broken a rule point it out.

For two weeks I ignored your baiting and there was no *pollution* of the board. Your choice. Walk away or keep insulting me and I will respond.

I will not waste my time pointing out the obvious. I will only say that there is a rule against baiting, and you are constantly doing it to me. Now I'm "insulting" you though. It's like the twilight zone with you Ricki.

BTW, I see you conveniently stripped this portion of my post away:

New meds, huh? :) And you wonder why you get warned.

No Ricki, no warning from mods to me and no new meds. No old meds either.

So why were you warned Ricki? What did they warn you about?

Do point out that rule about baiting?

There is nothing obvious about you Gerry. Other than your hatred for the PM.

How am I baiting you? By not doing what you tell me to do? By point out your logical inconsistencies and your never-ending streab of breaking the rules of the board?

I ignored your insults for two weeks, yet you came back to attack again and again and again.

You've got to be kidding me. You have been baiting because you don't see the word in the rule book? It's synonomous with "trolling" Ricki. Note they are both fishing terms.

How am I baiting you? By not doing what you tell me to do?

No, by constantly invoking my name and accusing me of hatred against the PM. If any poster disagrees with me you're in there like a dirty shirt right away with something along the lines of "Don't worry [insert name], we all know Gerry hates the PM...and he gets away with breaking rules around here for some reason".

It's quite funny, but it is baiting.

I ignored your insults for two weeks, yet you came back to attack again and again and again.

More baiting. What insults Ricki? What insults did you undergo such pains to ignore?

Gerry you have demonstrated your hatred for the PM over and over again on this forum.

You have broken the rules repeatedly.

I have no problem supporting like-minded posters who take offence with your rule-breaking and hatred for the Prime Minister.

If you can't find a rule I am breaking please don't accusing me of breaking the rules.

Wow, you will never, ever quit.

I ignored your attacks for two weeks and the battle ended.

Then you attacked me again.

You clearly cannot rebut my arguments. But you can't stop without getting in the last word.

So you use the ohh, so insightful "whatever".

Good work Gerry. Symbolic of the intellectual stringency to which all your posts adhere.

RB I find most of the stuff Gerry posts to be offensive and downright insane. I do not like him for his style of politics, but I must say though that once in a while he does have a small edge of truth in his posts. Of course they are always blown way out of proportion, and Yes I can say that there are times I would like to give him a slap just for good measure. But that is somethign I can not do so I walk away for a bit. Gerry has a right to be here, and yes I do believe he has broken the rules a few times, but so have I. If I say he is lower then nat piss under a cow muffin, that would be wrong, so I won't say that. But everyone knows gerry for what he is and yes many have just ignored him as he probably does more harm to his own credability the he harms the site. So do not get so would up in this.

When it comes down to it none of us have a *right* to be here. Gerry has broken the rules many, many times. I have only pointed a small percentage of them out.

I'm not necessarily getting wound up by him, but that doesn't necessarily mean I am going to back down from him.

I would love to inult him and his behaviour the way he insults my behaviour, the Prime Minister and anybody connected with the Conservative Party of Canada. But the rules do apply to me.

Lots of people ignore him. He acts as if he is free to break the rules at will. It just isn't fair. I have no problem calling him to task within the rules. Which I have been doing.

Serves you right for putting his PM's on 'ignore'. We should've left them open and just compiled them into a book.
