If Perot didn't run in the 1992 election, Bush would've won another term(no vote splitting, Perot took 40% of what would've been Bush votes), and 9/11 would've been prevented. Clinton was a wussy and forgot all about the middle east. Damn sometimes i question the democrats style of wussy leadership. If the democrats retake control, we would have terrorist attacks every month.

A lot paranoia and delusion wrapped up into one paragraph. The Liberals tried similar scare tactics in the last Canadian election (I am not making this up!). The Canadian public was smart enough not to buy into it - I hope the American public gives the republicans their much needed holiday from power.

To fly a plane, you need both a left wing and a right wing.

Have to disagree on this one, Perot did indeed harm Bush Sr's results, and the Dems loved him for it. This time around, people even on this forum were warning to vote 'strategically' in order to not let a Tory win. In B.C. during the 90's, the NDP won power with around 37% of the vote simply because of vote splitting.

I think Ralph Nader even helped Bush Jr the first time around, although bitter conspiracy theory fans insist it was the Supreme Court.

The same complaints could be made about Nader and Buchanan being spoilers. That's life. Perot took Perot votes. Those were not automatically Bush votes.

If Americans don't like the system, they could ban independent candidates or other political parties. Sounds a bit like communism but whatever.

The next US President will be either John McCain or Hillary Clinton. One hawk and one dove, guess which way the citizens will choose?

Which one is the dove though? Clinton has a harder line on military than many Republicans.

John is not a girly man. He has been there and done that, a real veteran.

Not mentioning McCain here, just other Republicans.

McCain has a good relatiionship with Clinton too.

Some Republicans don't feel McCain is a real Republican.

More of a Libertarian I think, which makes him all the more desirable to me, but my opinion doesn't matter, just the citizens of that nation. If I could vote for a President, McCain would be my choice the rest of the republican field is far less capable.

One could just as easily say that Ralph Nader helped George Bush to win the 2000 election (and possibly 2004 but I'm not sure on that). That does not mean that George Bush is a cheater, nor does it mean that Clinton cheated in 1992.

In response to John McCain, if I were american I would usually vote democrat. However, John McCain is probably the only republican I can think of who I respect and would consider voting for. So I agree that he is not a typical republican.

Almost three thousand people died needlessly and tragically at the World Trade Center on September 11; ten thousand Africans die needlessly and tragically every single day-and have died every single day since September 11-of AIDS, TB, and malaria. We need to keep September 11 in perspective, especially because the ten thousand daily deaths are preventable.

Yeah. Okay. I wasn't aware of a new device which gives definite insights into possible alternate timelines.

Please let me know where I can get one. I'm thinking lottery $$$$$$$

I don't think the Democrat ship has returned to port for their holiday yet, the party is not a real alternative. Can you tell me what as a unified body they stand for?

I know the same can be asked about the Republicans, but come on, the Democrats are just as bad in different ways.

I might be the first to ask, but - who cares?

What are you - 18? 'If the democrats retake control, we would have terrorist attacks every month'

Its typical of the unthinking allegiance allocated the so called 'Party of God' in the United States. The ignorance - or at least lack of reasoning ability - is, sadly, also more the norm than they would like you to know.
