Trudeau Snr famously referred to Albertans as "those Communists who hate me... "

Trudeau Snr was like Lincoln, he wanted to maintain a federal Canada.

====

Carney pays lip-service to Albertans.

He thinks that he has the federal vote.

Trudeau Snr was easily the most charismatic leader in Kanada's  history. (Trudeaumania)

Suppose one of his greatest achievements, considering the growing Nationalism in Quebec, was negotiating constitutional independence,  warts and all (Notwithstanding Clause) from Britain, finally establishing the Nation's  independence from Great Britain. Until patriation, the majority of Canadians believed Canada was a sovereign Nation.

Trudeau Snr. was a visionary ......... he believed in a so-called,  'just' society - later the Nation attempted to capture Snr.'s magic with 'Just..in"

Canada is a remarkable country of different people.

Jean Chretien, Brian Mulroney have kept us together. We get along.

This guy Carney? I'm not so sure.

Mulroney and Chretien joined us at the hip to the US and Mexico.

Carney is stepping back and reaching out to Europe, China and India.

Doesn't seem very different to me.

Looks like someone has a new patronizing catch phrase !

There has been a seismic shift in Canada / U.S. / Mexico trade relations.

Immediately following Trump's inauguration it was obvious to everyone that the relationship Canucks (World) thought they had with the U.S. was over.

There is no trust dealing with the U.S. and certainly no stability in terms of trade, defense or ideology

The relationship that once was (Global) will never return.

Canada will benefit by diversifying as will Europe ....... the wheels of change are in motion and they have inertia.

The U.S. will continue to be a great power, but diminished.

Trust is gone.

During the Cold War, Trudeau Snr the federalist discussed a "contractual link".
