Forced fed multiculturalism since Trudeau’s time, By this left-wing media who said his Charter was fine, For “Everyone” in the world including Ben Laden’s friends, Terrorists and refugees with their strange names and trends. We’re over in Afghanistan trying to put things right, Thousands of them are over here trying to give us a fright, It seems we let them in because we are so nice, Exploding ammonium nitrate could have been the price. Will national interests or multiculturalism win this fight? While bearded refugees and terrorists claim Charter Rights, Besides they mostly claim to have been born here, No-name young offenders too with bomb making stuff, I fear. Immigration without integration coming back to haunt, It’s multiculturalism in your face that they flaunt, We have to be tolerant of their strange beliefs, Blind, dead, deaf and dumb wrapped up in Maple Leafs. The weakness of our system is that we don’t have to vote, Barely half the people do and the rest of us stay remote, Politicians take advantage of ethnic diversity, No referendums or recall but refugees and perversity. Putting aside your opportunity to rave and rant about anyone you perceive different then you, I think most Canadians are intelligent enough to know this entire country except its natives are ALL immigrants and built the nation and will continue to build the nation. You want to hate monger against "immigrants" and "refugees" and look for someone to hate, got news for you. Its been done. I guess you wish you were alive in the 1920's and 30's when Immigration policies were a lot tougher and men were men and blacks and Jews were told not to use the same beaches in Toronto as real Canadians. Listen for now I would avoid any Canadian city of over 200,000 people. Also it is summer time so if you see people with sun tans calm down. The U.S was built on cultures of all races but unlike Canada the country comes first and foremost. Multiculturalism in Canada is not meant to take away or reduce Canadian identity by allowing foreign cultures to impose their cultures ahead of the Canadian one. This is what it was meant to do: "In 1971, Canada became the first country in the world to adopt an official Multiculturalism Policy. This policy provided for programs and services to support ethnocultural associations and to help individuals overcome barriers to their full participation in Canadian society. In 1982, the multicultural character of Canada gained constitutional recognition in Section 27 of the newly adopted Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. It specified that the courts were to interpret the Charter "in a manner consistent with the preservation and enhancement of the multicultural heritage of Canada". By virtue of this section of the Charter, Canada became a constitutional multicultural state." The only indifference I have with immigrants or anyone else in Canada is that you are a citizen of Canada and not some foreign country so it is soley your responsibility to act and behave like a citizen of Canada 'full participation' and that includes dedication to the country of Canada. Are you suggesting that we all have to live the same culture? It looks like that is what you're saying. Do we not have freedom of religion? Apparently not when people's religions are different from our own. If they want to wear their burkas and their turbans that's their own business. You can wear your Nike's and your golf shirts and I won't say a word about it, nor would I expect you to assimilate if everyone else was wearing something different. Man, government thinks it can do anything. It needs to butt out of people's business--their culture included. Of course, it can be just as bad when government tries to impose multiculturalism. Actually Canada's multicultural policy has nothing to do wth foreign immigration and integration but did have something to do with this. In other words integration was never a serious issue with the Liberals who knew that Quebec could never be persuaded to commit itself to 'Canadian nationalism' but rather left it free to be dedicated and loyal to it's own brand of 'Quebec nationalism' and left other cultures free to do what they like with their own foreign culture. Again, the problems we have today are directly related to weak federal Liberal leadership also complicated by a series of MP's from the province of Quebec. Multicultural propaganda is not an illusion, The idea of being Canadian might add to their confusion, These refugees can keep their culture and stay as they are, Even to the second generation though this may seem bizarre. Living in their ghettos, they can all stay aloof, Multiculturalism not denied or they’ll raise the roof, Politicians with partisan voting machines just love it, Though most Canadians would like to shove it. Soft-on-crime judicial appointees could make it worse, Add unknown youthful offenders to this national curse, Hot button diversity added to religion and race, Therefore terrorism apparently is no great disgrace.
