WestCanMan Posted January 9 Report Posted January 9 Props to a guy who I rarely ever saw eye to eye with, from what I recall. My apologies for posting BBC drivel, I was too lazy to redefine my search terms: https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cre28d2j2zxo There's widespread rioting in Iran, brought on by soaring inflation, but that seems to have provided the momentum for rebellion, possibly at the regime-change level. I don't know if that means a move towards a more secular society or just a rearranging of the theocrats, but one can hope. When the Supreme leader's ghost reports to Allah for his ration of virgins? Standby! The rumor is that the demonstrations are to restore the shah's son(???) to power - currently residing in Europe. 1 Quote

This is now a revolution by the brave nation of Iran against the murderous Islamic Republic. The Good versus Evil. Peace in the world versus terrorism. Millions upon millions are now on streets in spite of many death threats by the authorities that if you come out you will be shot calling for the removal of this terrorist regime and the return of crown prince Pahlavi. The nation of Iran is cleaning their land of this backward murderous Islamic occupiers who invaded Persia 1400 years ago with their violent backward culture and imposed their religion upon this Aryan nation by the force of sword.. Victory to the nation of Iran I have opened a new thread on this. Edited January 10 by CITIZEN_2015 1 Quote

Yes and he is the most popular as the nation remembers the golden years under his father and grandfather when Iran was the island of peace and the land of progress. He is crown prince Reza Pahlavi. It was his call who brought out millions to streets all over Iran last 3 days. The estimated 5 to 10 million crowd who came out in spite of threats by authorities that they will be shot dead, are calling for the removal of this hated Islamic regime and the return of crown prince who is for a secular democratic government. He does not to be the Kin after the fall of this regime but to oversee a free referendum for the nation to decide what and who they want. Quote

SpankyMcFarland Posted January 28 Report Posted January 28 (edited) History is full of discredited zombie regimes which go on ruling their unfortunate countries. Look how long the Assads lasted in Syria or the family outfit in North Korea. Belarus is another example. All three had powerful backers. Iran has never wanted to be a satellite - its suspicion of Russia runs centuries deep - but the conflict with America has forced the mullahs into close relations with first Putin and now the godless PRC. So far the government seems to have a near monopoly on deadly force and, unlike Assad and Lukashenko, it still enjoys some support among less educated people who fear change. These are two powerful advantages. Combine them with Chinese-made surveillance and you have a formula for years more of misery. Let’s hope I’m wrong. SpankyMcFarland Posted January 28 Report Posted January 28 Let’s be honest about other governments in the region across the Persian Gulf. Their biggest difference with Iran is in their enemy. They are theocratic tyrannies too. Quote ‘How small we make our worlds. Gather them in, tighten them up into little castles of fear.’

Are you sure it's 40,000? Damn, that's a city. Sadly these types are such a huge propaganda item that it's really hard to know whose numbers to believe. PBS quoted "6,159" 2 days ago. Two problems I have with that are: The number 6,159 is oddly specific. It seems like they may have used a number that's down to the single digits in accuracy in order to mislead, because no responsible human would ever claim to have such an accurate figure, up to the moment, from within the fog of war, in an area where censorship, rabid propaganda, and internet blackouts are normal. It's not even safe for citizens and reporters to try to gather that information. Just like when islamic state was bragging that they were beheading journalists (actually showing the videos), I don't doubt that nosy reporters are getting killed in Iran. PBS is as dishonest as it gets, and as leftists, they are "slow to condemn the Iranian regime", AKA defending the ayatollah. Since they completely shut down internet in order to cover up the extend of genocide, news is coming out slowly. It is now estimated between 50,000 to 80,000 unfortunately. Khamenei himself ordered the massacre. He said kill them all so that they never dare to rise up again. When he saw the millions of people shouting for Reza Pahlavi, he ordered mass killing. Quote

This is like when covid came... "COVID DEATHS!!!" were an instant diagnosis, requiring no proof at all, and 'vax-induced deaths' took years to prove. Healthy people could literally keel over dead within 30 seconds of taking the jab and that "cause of death" somehow took years to determine, at which point the MSM continued to ignore them. The MSM will be the judge, jury and executioner when it comes to determining cause of death in Iran as well. "Killed by the Iranian gov't" is a diagnosis that will takes weeks or months to determine, and will always reflect the lowest of all possible estimates "Killed by Americans" will be the default diagnosis for anyone who dies after the US conducts their first strike, and exaggerations will be highly encouraged. Almost everyone killed will be classified as 'an innocent woman or child', and even 17 yr-olds killed while carrying scalps will still be classified as "dead children". We saw it in Gaza, and it's the exact same people who will be reporting on Iran. Undoubtedly a lot of people who blindly sided with Gaza, and adored all of the lies and propaganda from Al Jazeera, CNN and CBC, will be on the side of the Iranian people now, and they will start to understand how it feels to be gaslighted and lied to by the exact same MSM that they helped prop up over the past ten years.
