You're so IGNORANT you don't even understand that Trump negotiated the surrender to the Taliban without the involvement of the ANG which was required to keep the Taliban in check. And left Biden the options of pulling out or increasing our troops. Quote No, the 2020 agreement signed between the Trump administration and the Taliban was a deal for a phased withdrawal of U.S. troops, not a surrender. The agreement's critics often describe it as flawed and claim it paved the way for the Taliban's eventual takeover, but "surrender" is not the "official classification. " Key facts about the Doha Agreement: Signed by the U.S. and Taliban, not the Afghan government. The official "Agreement for Bringing Peace to Afghanistan" was signed in Doha, Qatar, by U.S. Special Representative Zalmay Khalilzad and Taliban leader Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar. The internationally recognized Afghan government was not a party to the negotiations or the agreement. Contained conditions for U.S. withdrawal. In exchange for the U.S. withdrawing its forces, the Taliban agreed to prevent al-Qaeda and other extremist groups from operating in areas they controlled. The agreement set a 14-month timeline for a full U.S. troop withdrawal, contingent on the Taliban meeting its commitments. Included provisions for prisoner release and intra-Afghan talks. The deal required the Afghan government to release 5,000 Taliban prisoners in exchange for 1,000 captive government soldiers. It also called for peace negotiations between the Taliban and the Afghan government, though those talks never fully materialized. Led to U.S. troop reduction under Trump. The Trump administration reduced U.S. troop levels to 2,500 by January 2021, the lowest number since 2001. The subsequent and final withdrawal was completed under the Biden administration in August 2021. Received significant criticism. The deal was criticized for sidelining the Afghan government, allowing the Taliban to regroup, and lacking sufficient enforcement mechanisms. H.R. McMaster, a former national security adviser to Trump, controversially called the pact a "surrender agreement" Edited November 27, 2025 by robosmith Quote

And left Biden the options of pulling out or increasing our troops. There was no surrender to the Taliban negotiated. It was a peace deal that led to the withdrawal of US troops. The Afghan government did not have to be involved in a deal that was between the Taliban and US forces on not attacking the US forces anymore as they had the draw down. The Taliban broke this agreement and Biden chose to ignore it. The agreement did not dictate how Biden must withdrawl forces or in the disgusting way he did either. Biden 100% owned that mess in the end. Quote
