August1991 Posted May 26 Report Posted May 26 In Canada, we cannot use our provincial taxes/municipal taxes as a deduction on our federal tax form. Some provinces allow this for property taxes. Because of Duplessis, Quebec has a bizarre federal tax rate. ===== Trump? He's a dealer. Quote

herbie Posted May 26 Report Posted May 26 Hah! If I wrote off my provincial taxes I'd have to add the $75 PST rebate to my gross income. If I wrote off my property tax it would only be $100. Hell, let us write off 100% of any medical expenses first instead of that silly 3% of income limiter. Wife had over $4500 in claims one year and only got back a couple hundred mote. Quote
