It's practically renewable (for canadians anyway).  And it's safer than any other permanent reliable source of power.

The  current one being built is the first of it's kind and took less than a decade from design to authorization to proceed. 

And any mega power project costs billions.  Go look up the site c dam

Its genius. There is no 'renewable' energy source the way you mean it that is reliable. The sun sets.  Wind stops. we've seen the results.  Thee is no effective storage of electricity right now. 

So nuclear power provides a perfect emissions free alternative that runs 24 7  every day of the year, is safer than any other reliable energy source, and can be placed anywhere. 

It would make the whole 'carbon' problem go away for good.  Which is why you hate it.  You don't care about climate change, you care about having something to be angry about.
