And mostly confined to the valleys between the mountains and high hills which funnel the wind coming off the desert. That's why it is UNUSUAL for the city of Palisades to have extreme winds. Hmmm...I wonder what the explorers name was that first discovered the LA basin and named the bay, windy bay? LMAO Chicago suffers through windy climate change because democrats hijacked the city and turned it into a woke indoctrination complex. Quote

Chicago was named "windy city" LONG BEFORE climate change. Duh "Windy City" Encyclopedia of Chicago http://www.encyclopedia.chicagohistory.org › pages The power of the name lies in the metaphorical use “windy” for “talkative” or “boastful.” Chicago politicians early became famous for long-windedness. Do you ever get tired of wasting your time posting BULLSHIT? Quote

Remember, stupid: YOU created climate change. Quote

Santa Ana winds have been recorded as high as 167 mph. So saying that 100 mph is absolutely AGW is complete speculation. Are you trying to make the claim that the bay was named Windy Bay because of politicians? Quote The Rules for Liberal tactics: If they can't refute the content, attack the source. Are you trying to make the claim that the bay was named Windy Bay because of politicians? No, I am saying there can be OTHER REASONS. MANY, MANY cities on the coasts are windy, and someone calling it windy doesn't mean ANYTHING other than it was windy when they dropped in. There were TWO high wind speeds recorded for LA County in the last 15 years. The ONE you mention was a GUST in the CANYONS, NOT in a CITY and nearly equal to the sustained winds recorded for Palisades of 100 MPH. They are BOTH extreme outliers due to extreme weather events in the last 15 years. Quote The highest wind gust recorded in Los Angeles County was 167 mph (269 km/h) during the Santa Ana winds in early December 2011. Sustained winds reached 97 mph (156 km/h) during this event in Pasadena and Altadena. A 209-mph gust was reported in early 2020, but it was later determined to be a mistake. Key Points: Highest recorded gust: 167 mph (269 km/h). Sustained winds: 97 mph (156 km/h). Location: Pasadena and Altadena. Event: Santa Ana winds in early December 2011. Quote
