When I first saw this woman my initial impression was that she was going to be weak and dull, (hell, look at that picture and tell me she doesn't look like a substitute teacher who's about to get steamrolled by a coupe of grade 2 clowns) but I couldn't have been more wrong: I thought she was very classy, friendly (as an ambassador should be), looked sharp, answered all the questions directly, and gave smart answers which pointed this snotty, childish, boorish fiasco in a positive direction. Maybe they should kick Carney to the curb and have this one talk to Trump. It sounds a lot like "we should start seeing other people", but it seems like that's our only option to protect our economy. Trump doesn't see it that way though, he's not interested in seeing anyone for once. Not Europe, not Mexico, not Asia... Trump is clearly more loyal to his country than he is to his wives. But this clearly isn't just a Trump thing or the Dems and CNN would be lambasting him for him for cutting ties with the entire planet. They have never missed an opportunity to slam Trump, even if that required a slight massaging of the facts, so their silence on this slam-dunk issue is actually mindblowing imo. It's like the low-hanging fruit of "Orange man bad", and all they're talking about is DOGE. It seems as though Americans are quickly getting onboard the f-everyone (but Israel) train. The volumetric energy density of coal, combined with how safe and easy it is to transport via rail and across the ocean, is really what drove us to burn LNG here and ship coal over there, imo. It obviously had nothing to do with saving the environment, because it's still getting burned, just on the other side of the earth.
