Radiorum Posted November 16, 2024 Report Posted November 16, 2024 Yeah, that seems pretty heavy-handed, and lacking in common sense. I think if anything, only a warning was called for. I hate to think it, but I wonder if the mother showed attitude, and the officer power-tripped in turn. Quote

The mom was pretty pissed she got called from the doctor's office because the kid walked to the store to get a drink. I would be as well. Deluge Posted November 21, 2024 Report Posted November 21, 2024 This is a good argument for requiring higher IQ (and EQ) police officers. Quote

User Posted November 24, 2024 Report Posted November 24, 2024 (edited) It is not the police officer alone here. The police had an arrest warrant. Georgia's Division of Family and Children Services was pushing for her to sign a safety plan and put a GPS tracker on the kids phone. This is the entire system here that is abusing their power. Fluffypants Posted December 5, 2024 Report Posted December 5, 2024 (edited) This is why our kids are growing up to by whiney crybabies. Any of you all that have been around a while know that if you ended up on a milk carton that was just Darwinism in action. We were playing baseball in abandoned field using boards as bases with holes that would make you twist your ankles without a parent in sight. We would come home from school and lock the door because your parents weren't waiting for you with a snack, they both worked and you were on your own. We went straight from baby car seat to sitting in a regular seat, there were no booster seats until you were damn near high school age and when we got a bit older we would pile into the back of a pickup truck and head to the beach.
