Here is another opportunity for the Liberal government to commit to paying compensation for supposed past historical mistakes.  Just add it to the billions of dollars we are already in debt.  Whenever the government apologizes, it means the government owes them.  That's how things work.  In the end, it means money must be paid.  This will never end.  One must ask why today's taxpayers should be forced to pay for things that happened way back in history.

It should be noted that the federal government's creation of an annual national holiday called The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is a paid holiday for federal government employees.

This means Canadian taxpayers must pay millions of dollars to give hundreds of thousands of federal government employees a paid holiday every year.  I just wondered how paying millions of dollars for hundreds of thousands of federal government employees to have a holiday honours survivors, their families, and communities.

"The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation has been designated as a paid holiday for employees in the federal public service starting September 20211. The designation of this day is in response to one of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s 94 Calls to Action and is meant to honour survivors, their families, and communities

The same reason they get paid to honour yours.

If you don't like our customs and traditions go back to wherever you came from.

This kind of liberalism-progressivism is costing Canadian taxpayers billions of dollars.  Why are we paying for things that happened generations ago?  It makes no sense.  I don't see any end to it.

We pay to celebrate things that happened thousands of years ago too. Why should we expect an end to that?
