De facto, fait accompli. Loudmouth populists with no principles who will use every trick and lie to win are ready to enter at least a tacit alliance with the worst aggressive totalitarian regimes of the world. It could result in nothing less than a rise of a global Axis of totalitarian dictatorships at the time when West is weakened and divided. The final demise of the rule- and law-based world order. 17th, 18th century with Caligulas and nukes. Why would it be an exaggeration, if Putin is allowed to have his way with his neighbors and China, with Taiwan?

South Korea; Baltic states; and so on - who could stop the onslaught, what and how?

This never happened in history. West had many wars but never yet those that threatened its very existence. Nazis succeeding with the bomb would be the closest yet, in alternative history.

And it is unfolding right before our eyes. At least we have the time to ponder it and decide. Not much though.

If it's you or them, the truth is equidistant

Germany could have easily built nukes before us just like they got nuclear fission power before us. Hitler refused to create nukes, however, because their potential for destruction was too great. It would never be worth using nukes, according to him,  even if it would win the war.

Everyone was happy in Nazi Germany: had to be. In North Korea too. Russia happily sends thousands daily to their untimely demise.

We know it from the memory and theory now. But we kind try to play with it closer of course: who's there to stop us?

At least we know what we could be playing with. No surprises.

I have no doubt that there are many happy people in Russia and North Korea. There may be some unhappy people also. I am an unhappy person in the usa...

You seem to think the usa needs to 'do something' about these other countries...which you regard to be evil. Naturally that something would be some war..where millions or perhaps billions would die.

Have you looked in the mirror recently?

Right, this is the regular lies we're going hear if the lying bunch would get to rule. The tyrants axis came and swallowed another neighbor? Oh but you don't want that horrible "war" they spread around so stay put. Hoping for what?

Until they come to our door. Not like we haven't seen anything in this lying story. Not like we don't know what happens next - if and when the psycho gets to rule. No such chance: we saw and knew it all. And it's our choice.
