Even on this forum, ostensibly a reflection of the better public, the trend is to reject politics and to demand the end of compromise. My lefty friends in Facebook posting cartoons of guillotines, do so without irony. A candidate muses about jailing, and now killing opponents, and we all have a good laugh. How sophisticated we are.
