Belorussification of Ukraine

Make no mistake. This is Putin's objective.

Kinda sad.

Western Ukraine - the remnants of the Austrian-Hungarian society - are now lost.

Lemberg was a beautiful city. It will be Vienna.

And according to Putin, the US State Department - Ukraine will become another Austria.

Russia will make western Ukraine something like Belorus.

All of this could have been avoided - so much death and destruction for no reason.

And there is the terrible risk of nuclear warheads

While I agree with your conclusion,  I doubt Russia has any designs on west Ukraine.

In the 1990s, after the Soviet Union, a Kissinger world was possible.

Kissinger was a realist - like Trudeau Snr.
