geoffrey Posted January 21, 2006 Report Posted January 21, 2006 CONSERVATIVE PARTY OF CANADA 8 of your answers match the ideas of this party: early childhood, parliamentary reform, taxes, economy, national defence, relations with provinces, gun control, environment . BLOC QUÉBÉCOIS 2 of your answers match the ideas of this party: health care, education . LIBERAL PARTY OF CANADA 2 of your answers match the ideas of this party: employment insurance, international aid . Never though I'd agree with Liberals on EI. Promoting a strong enough economy that people don't need it doesn't sound like what the Liberals have done for the last 13 years. Too many people are still on it. Just one note: I never saw an answer I liked for International Aid, like when all the bills are paid its OK. I didn't see any I liked on International Aid either. But I'm not a believer in the when the bills are paid its ok either. Foreign aid can both help those lesser off, and increase Canada's power in the world, giving us political and economic benifet. Canada needs a large peacekeeping force so that we can uni-laterally get involved in crisis situaitons, such as in Darfur, when the rest of the world has turned its back. We have more money than almost anyone else, theres no excuse why we can't help out those less privledged with us on the world stage. But this isn't done with handouts and debt relief, its done with people on the ground protecting people's rights. I know the bleeding hearts hate to see military involvement, but its the only way to lift people out of poverty in oppressed nations.
