CdnFox Posted August 26, 2023 Report Posted August 26, 2023 https://archive.ph/9uCeo This is what happens when Justin Trudeau neglects issues that really matter to Canadians Much of the anger the Liberals are facing is justified — rooted in a feeling that the government isn’t as concerned with the issues Canadians care about, Althia Raj writes. Highlights: - it’s rooted in a feeling that the Liberals aren’t as concerned with the issues they care about: fears they’ll lose their home because of rising interest rates, or frustration at being unable to find a family doctor despite repeated election promises, or anxiety over having to pay for environmental policies they don’t understand - for example, had the Liberals with 50 per cent popular support in Atlantic Canada — 27 points higher than Pierre Poilievre’s Conservatives. Two months later, another polling firm Abacus Data found most respondents in those four provinces now favoured the Tories: 39 per cent compared to the Liberals with 32 per cent. - Who does carbon pricing help? “My constituents don’t have options,” said another rural Liberal MP, who spoke on condition of anonymity. “They have a car, a car, and a car.” There is no public transit. And “biking lanes? I love them, but my folks aren’t going to ride a bike for 50 kilometres and back unless they are training for a marathon.” Quote "That which doesn't kill me... Had better start running."
CdnFox Posted August 26, 2023 Author Report Posted August 26, 2023 So - yes yes, trudeau terrible, we all know about the problems mentioned here. But what is REALLY interesting is this is The Star - this is one of the liberals biggest fanboy papers outside the cbc. A LOT of liberals have ties to these reporters and the paper is generally kind to the libs. Yet this is the 4th or 5th seriously negative article, most of which have pinned the liberals woes on Trudeau. I think we're seeing some disgruntled liberals 'back door'ing pressure for justin to step down as soon as possible. I would REALLY prefer us to face justin in the next election but he's got to be under tremendous pressure to step down right now. IF they try to push him out, i wonder if he'll pull a Chretien and sabotage the hell out of them? Quote "That which doesn't kill me... Had better start running."
