blackbird Posted May 4, 2023 Report Posted May 4, 2023 (edited) Should this shock Canadians? Should we be surprised that the Liberals would freely use taxpayer's money for their own purposes? How the Trudeau Foundation became a scandal mill | National Post What was the whole purpose of this foundation? Why was so much taxpayer money poured into it? We are told it was to be a benevolent organization to fund scholarships for students. But what kind of students? Are they students closely connected with the Liberal elite circle or what is the deal here? Is it to promote Liberalism and increase Liberal fortunes? I think there are a lot of questions arising from such a vast sum of money being taken from taxpayers for this cause. When a large amount of taxpayer money is used for such a purpose and when there are clear connections to the Liberal Party or people associated with it, I think taxpayers have a right to know what is going on and there should be accountability to Canadians. " The foundation would award doctoral fellowships; up to $50,000 over four years for humanities scholars who looked “to promote (Pierre Trudeau’s) ideas,” in the words of Roy Heenan, Trudeau’s former law partner." "Promote Pierre Trudeau idea's" That pretty well says it all. We have an idea that means liberal ideology including progressivism. Seems they must have done a pretty good job. Canada is descending further downward in a spiral of liberalism with same-sex marriage, abortion on demand, medical assistance in dying even for poor people who can't afford accommodations or food or medical care, and now people with mental issues, globalism, financial support for Romanism, continual release on bail and parole of dangerous offenders who go out to commit crimes and murder police and others, and mass immigration from the third world.
