Eli45 Posted March 20, 2023 Report Posted March 20, 2023 Do yankees and easter types who are city dwellers hate the south and hicks and do they know the word tater is a word? Do they know or do they not use the word tater so they don't know? Think about it....you're eating dinner and Uncle Billy says "Pass me the taters". Would city types know? Let me know if this make sense? Is it morally right to hate the south that much that you question if tater is a word? Do you think it goes both ways? Do you think southerners hate yankees so much that they don't think some of their words are words? Quote
I am Groot Posted March 20, 2023 Report Posted March 20, 2023 I'm not sure what you're asking. We in the West have been judging third-world peoples and their backward cultures for decades. Why would we stop? Quote

Eli45 Posted March 20, 2023 Author Report Posted March 20, 2023 Can you think of a word that an east coast elite would use and sound like slang like the word tater that a southerner wouldn't understand? Is this making sense to you? Quote
Eli45 Posted March 20, 2023 Author Report Posted March 20, 2023 Are southerners smarter b/c they know that tater is a word for potatoes? I mean I can't think of it going the other way, what word does the northeast and west coast use that a southerner might question if it's a word the way the east coast questions if tater is a word, not sure if it's spelled tator or tater? Does this make the south the smartest about what words are words? Quote
Eli45 Posted March 21, 2023 Author Report Posted March 21, 2023 Would a new yorker type know that reckon is a word? I reckon so etc.... Quote
