Disaffected Democrats turn to DeSantis over party's intolerance, wokeness: 'Feel condescended to, abandoned'

Quote

Lifelong Democrats in Florida are rejecting their party's woke politics and supporting Gov. Ron DeSantis instead, according to one report from Bari Weiss' new media outlet, The Free Press (FP).

"DeSantis Democrats" described various reasons, from rising inflation and COVID lockdowns to their party's intolerance for different viewpoints and embrace of identity politics, as reasons for voting for the Republican in their state's November red wave.

These ex-Democrats felt "condescended to" and "abandoned" by their party's embrace of progressive politics, the report found.

"You have to have a big tent that’s actually diverse, and you don’t do that by calling people with different viewpoints evil," former Democrat Daren Dillinger, 54, an IT specialist from Jacksonville, said.

Dillinger felt "nostalgic for the days when you could disagree with your party on an issue or two and still call it home," the report said.

We might actually have another Reagan on our hands here. DeSantis is certainly the best, most intelligent and most popular governor not only in Florida history but in the entire country. Just like Reagan, he will attract a large number of Democrats who don't want to have to work in Concentration Camp towers as guards.

By all means, moderate Dems. Leave the American NAZI party and come back to America's party: the GOP.

DeSantis Democrats.

Not a bad campaign strategy for when Trump finishes his second term.

DeSantis is young, brilliant, and will give America eight years of excellence as President.

It may take that long to fix the damage done by the DEmoNazis.

President Trump assures us that he won his second term in 2020. So, he is almost through his second term. The 22nd amendment forbids him to run for a third term in 2024.

According to all the American patriots I've heard, the GOP is all RINOs, part of the Uniparty. Do you really want to vote for one of them?

The Republicans have always been the most independent thinkers on the planet.  While the Democrats goosestep like one Buundist, Republicans can't agree on lunch. '

With us, it's about voting for the best candidate. It's pretty easy. No liberal Democrat is qualified to run a lemonade stand, much less hold public office.

Right now, Republicans have the record for the best economies, the most peaceful conditions and a better life for most.

He was not allowed to serve the term he EARNED.

He will be reelected in 2024 and he will finish that term. Then Governor DeSantis can continue the Trump record of prosperity, world peace and the rule of law.

Only a brain dead TRAITOR would vote for ANY living Democrat.
