Obama's tax rates were lower than Reagan's but he isn't considered 'right wing'... the idea is to get tax rates for the wealthy to zero, then eventually pay them to run the country. Obama's top rate? https://money.cnn.com/2012/10/04/smallbusiness/obama-tax-employers/index.html Quote The Obama plan would raise the top two tax brackets from 33% to 36% and from 35% to 39.6%. I'd have to add however that reality has a left-wing bias - it's the direction evolution has been taking nature since things went bang. I see little reason not to believe we'll find it's also like this everywhere in the universe. Reality has NEVER been associated with the Left. The Nazis, Soviets, Cubans, North Koreans, all left wing regimes, NONE associated with reality of the human conditions. And their societies became the ghettos of the world. Quote

They believe that the single source of solutions is governmental regulations that provide direct advantages to those deemed “disadvantaged.” The leftist theory, extracted from communist dogma, is that it is responsibility government is to make outcomes “equal.” " Simplified pap. Let's talk about "united we stand" "right to work" "corporate payouts" "limited liability" and all of the pro-combine, business protectionist policies that Republicans invoke to please the masters that pay for their campaigns. If access is so equal, why are working people falling behind ? Even the right-wing folks on this board seem to think so, although they'll attribute it to an 11 cent carbon tax or TFWs working at Tim Hortons... There is a reason why SOME working people are falling behind, even with equal access. Opportunity is not a guarantee of outcome. There is NO government policy that can get a stupid lazy person off his/her fat ass to work harder and smarter. Student loans are no guarantee that stupid lazy dumbasses won't waste that money on unemployable degrees like Sociology, Gender Studies, Lesbian Dance Theory. The Occupy Wall Street movement was created by a bunch of stupid college graduates who were stuck with six figure student loans and degrees that nobody would hire them with. These entitled cretins assumed the sheepskins would entitle them to six figure salary jobs. Those degrees aren't even worth a used sheep skin condom. Oh, and right-to-work (at least in America) has to do with a state not mandating closed union shops, meaning a person can be prevented from getting a job if he/she is not in a union. Florida is a right-to-work state and we have the best economy in the country. Blue states look like ghettos compared to us. In a land of equal opportunity, THIS fellow became a doctor. This more on did not. Edited December 17, 2022 by reason10 Quote

Yes anyone can clearly see how overtly progressive these all are.? They are not interested in the least in redistributing power to the people they rule. As such that makes them very right-wing...certainly according to the original definition of the term. Meanwhile, the rest of the universe is still progressing towards greater complexity and a richer diversity. That's pretty weird. That said, its even stranger that conservatives would associate themselves with the right. The reason I associate Marx with the left is because I read the Communist Manifesto. It reads like a guide to the Democrat Party, and last time I checked those were not Rush LImbaugh/Ronald Reagan fans. Mainstream conservatives are center right. They make up most of America. It took voter fraud to elect a far left racist pedophile like Joe. Oh, and the term "Progressive" comes from a bunch of really stupid people who are ashamed of the "liberal" label. In some ways, linking the word "Progressive" with these bozos is like linking the word "medical" with this. Edited December 18, 2022 by reason10 Quote
