I've watched the odd Fox news brief on this subject and that's not the impression I get. They seem to be saying the opposite. Would you like an example?

The problem here is that as a corporate man, one would tend to favour geopolitical efforts that, while hurting humans, is a dream come true for the business. Very few among us would not have to admit the business logic of this escapade.

Greed...the eternal "double-edged sword" of morality. I don't know if some rather nasty fuckers actually planned this fossil fuel sky-rocket. The Greenies have been at this for over a generation now. Harping constantly about pollution and green house gasses. Its now entrenched in our society. And that's probably a "good" thing. After all...Earth is our "mother". I happen to love my mom. The problem, in my mind, is not the issue of green house gasses...the issue is the unrealistic schedule and wild panic this group of loud folks prescribe. And when you question them? They immediately resort to call you all sorts of nasty names. Enough so that, and here I'm-a-gonna be PAINFULLY honest so please excuse me, I'm actually surprised we don't hear of many of these paranoid folks being dragged out of bars to have their noses served to them. But then again...Greenies tend to hang out in coffee shops so...ya... But the prescription...

There's an old saying...'don't throw out your old shoes, before you have a new pair.'

So I say to Greenies...We get it. Planet...warming...Man increasing warming...probably "bad". Yet we "Western Civilization" types, burn through energy like crazy. The current green technology couldn't even cover half of our current usage. And Greenies please...let's be frank...windmills and mirrors are NOT gonna cut it. Nuclear energy would. Today, fossil fuels DO. What's the response? They only one available actually.

Excuse me? "that's all"? Well OK, I have a response to that. Its, "NO!".

I will gladly have my taxes fund huge works on research towards "green energy". GLADLY. But I will NOT "learn to exist on less energy". I do NOT think the citizenry should foot the bill for something that is destructive. Doing so would kill millions...hell hundreds of millions of people annually.

Unless of course...that happens to be your goal. In which case, we have a much bigger problem.
