tml12 Posted November 3, 2005 Report Posted November 3, 2005 The Dems were hoping for indictments against Rove, Cheney and Bush for "outing" Valerie Wilson.Instead they got an indictment against someone no one has heard of (Scooter Libby) - for allegedly telling a different story than a reporter. Whoop-de-doo. Curses! The left is foiled again. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Still, all is not lost for the left. The accusation alleges that the "spill" came from the VP's office...this is still a very serious accusation. It means that something fishy is going on. Immediate blame must be placed on Novak though. He is the journalist scum who literarily blew the cover of hundreds of CIA agents who were using the name of a fake Boston law firm (as reported on 60 Minutes last Sunday). The far left may be purely idealistic, but there centrist friends have a case here. Quote "Those who stand for nothing fall for anything." -Alexander Hamilton

Why isn't Novak being investigated? That was a reprehensible action on his part and it endangered the lives of many covert agents. Quote
BHS Posted November 17, 2005 Report Posted November 17, 2005 Anyone care to comment about how Woodward's testimony affects this thread? I don't think I need to retract anything I've said. I logged on today thinking there might have been some buzz generated by the latest news, but the usual suspects are strangely silent. I was a little sad when mirror (bigdude, whatever) was heaved over the side before the indictments came down, and now even more so. Oh well. I'll be a sport and fan the flames: There's still a very good chance, indeed, that Wilson really was the leaker after all. I've read numerous rumours lately that in years past he was very nonchalant about telling people his wife worked for the CIA in WMD intelligence, when he was schmoozing at Washington get-togethers. Nothing in Woodward's testimony contradicts this possibility. Discuss. Quote "And, representing the Slightly Silly Party, Mr. Kevin Phillips Bong." * * * "Er..no. The numerous reports I've seen seem to have all popped up within a short period of time and, for the most part, have been of the "he-said-I-said" nature. I';m not convinced, given that all these folks seemd to have thei rmemories jogged at exactly the same time. Woodward's "revalation" is equally suspicious, given his past (partisan) statements on the investigation. Quote
theloniusfleabag Posted November 17, 2005 Report Posted November 17, 2005 Dear BHS, Anyone care to comment about how Woodward's testimony affects this thread?I haven't heard any of his comments, do you have a link?I've read numerous rumours latelySo have I, but they may need to be given a few grains of salt, depending on where they originated. Gonna have to wait and see on this one. I'm sure that any official investigation will have to take this into account.
