heh!. Cant help but chuckle at all of this. The real thing is that every damn politician no matter what side they belong to (cause their all damn crooks) should have to face real consequences and repercussions for their 'public voices' . If a leader of any sort wants to stand in front of the people he/she has been elected to represent, and propose a 'course of action' that is nothing more than verbal masturbation (politicians are great at it!) than they should face the consequences just as any ther criminal in this country should.

As a Liberal, I wish that things like this didn't happen. I wish that my leaders didn't alienate parts of the country. I know how you feel as well, when I hear Steven Harper call my fellow Atlantic Canadians and I a "Culture of Defeat" I think it's uncalled for and doesn't help anyone.

Atlantic Canadians have been the politicians' bitches for decades. They largely ignore you and your problems, then breeze in before election time spreading money around. And you buy it. You vote for whichever party promises the most pogey. What needs to be done is for someone to address the long term economic problems of Atlantic Canada. But that's a lot harder to put in a slick, thirty second election ad than something with big dollar signs attached. So election after election you get bought with some short term cash that creates a few short term jobs and allows you to sit on pogey. They let your fisheries be destroyed and promise you a few jobs in call centres instead. And you're grateful and rush out to vote for them. You want respect for that?
