Bro Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 If chretien is sucessful with his plans to rid the adscam affair of Gomery, what should be the next move for Canadians,as this clearly shows that an ex politician did and still can influence the judicial system.Should we vote in a party that truly stands for democracy,or continue to vote for liberals and their obvious abuse of taxpayers money; their contempt for Canada, and all of our laws, all of our pride as a nation, with the exception of quebec, that is apparently worth everything, even the illegal spending of taxpayers money. caesar Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 Bro; you are repeating a topic. Chretien has every right to ask for him to be removed for making comments on the case showing prejudice. Quote
Bro Posted March 4, 2005 Author Report Posted March 4, 2005 I know, sorry, but if Gomery is dismissed because of his speaking out of turn, this will in no way benefit Canadians as a whole. If chretien and his lawyers are successful in having him removed, the liberals will have won,and the average Canadien will have lost more than an inquiry, but theywill have lost the ability to have a government ever again that will be accountable to the Canadian people. The winners once again will be the liberal party of Canada,as they will now be beyond reproach, and the province of quebec, having tax payer money from all of Canada once again concentrated to their province. I guess all liberals outside of the je me souviens province like to be taken for the suckers that they are. Quote
ticker Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 caeser we know you are more interested in protecting the liberal name ... disguised as Chretien just exercising his rights. If Gomery was saying I think the liberals are innocent but will go through the process to please the public would Chretien be pushing to have Gomery removed. Not unless Chretien thought Gomery would come to a different conclusion. Quote
caesar Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 I have no interest in protecting the Liberals. Replacing Gomery does not end the inquiry; nor should it. I wouldn't like to see trials by media type of thing we are seeing down in the USA. This is supposed to be an enquiry checking out the facts; Gomery should not be making the remarks he did. He is supposed to keep his eyes and ears open and his mouth shut until the inquiry is finished. Simple concept. Quote
kimmy Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 Replacing Gomery does not end the inquiry; nor should it. That's a big assumption. Given the expenses racked up by the inquiry already, starting another inquiry if this one is shut down might be a dangerous political decision for Martin. Likewise, people within his own party ranks are opposed to the inquiry, Chretien is putting Martin in a tough spot. Starting over from scratch could be viewed as a huge waste of money. But failing to deliver a public inquiry on ad-scam would be breaking one of Martin's key promises. This is supposed to be an enquiry checking out the facts; Gomery should not be making the remarks he did. He is supposed to keep his eyes and ears open and his mouth shut until the inquiry is finished. Simple concept. Paul Martin's willing to vouch for Gomery. That's good enough for me. -kimmy Quote (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ Friendly forum facilitator! ┬──┬◡ノ(° -°ノ)
The Terrible Sweal Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 Nothing Gomer has said amounts to suffient bias for him to be removed. But a lot of what Gomer has said amounts to showing he's a goofy blabbermouth. Quote
