JamesHackerMP Posted March 11, 2018 Report Posted March 11, 2018 A friend of mine posted "Trump Bingo" on Facebook to see who would win for predicting the next resignation from the Trump Administration. I think we can do better than that, and have more fun in the process. Make it in the form of a "Clue" accusation (Person, Weapon, Location in the White House or other US government building.) Optional: mention why you think this person will have to go, or why you like (or more likely, dislike) him or her. I'll go first. I accuse Dr. Carson, with the Bust of Lincoln, in the Situation Room. (HUD Secretary Carson is a dick who's much better at performing surgery than governing Housing and Urban Development). Quote "We're not above nature, Mr Hacker, we're part of it. Men are animals, too!" "I know that, I've just come from the House of Commons!" [Yes, Minister]

I agree with your assessment of Carson, but from what I have seen competence has nothing to do with longevity in the Trump administration. Loyalty (as per Trump definition) and getting caught doing something wrong (note the emphasis is very important, doing something wrong is irrelevant). Those hanging from thin threads are Rex Tillerson, Jeff Sessions, and John Kelly. They all however have a lot of eyes on them and all appear to be of good character so Trump knows he will be in hot water targeting any of them. The two big nepotism appointments may be harder and harder for Trump to keep holding onto (strong rope, but weakening grip). *Yeah, I know I did a poor job playing by the rules of your game, but at least I had fun. JamesHackerMP Posted March 12, 2018 Author Report Posted March 12, 2018 LOL, s'ok, my sarcasm gets the better of me sometimes. That was just a joke, really...I'm glad you had fun. I certainly am. Getting caught seems to be the ultimate crime in government, not actually doing something wrong; I think your assessment is right. I remember Tillerson having to hold a whole press conference to deny that he and Trump had a rift between each other. As Jim Hacker himself said, "Never believe anything until it's been officially denied!" I don't know if Carson will actually be next, but he is an idiot. He once said that the pyramids were likely built to store grain on the orders of the Biblical figure Joseph, who was (according to the OT) vizier of Egypt. Wow. He was a brilliant surgeon who separated those conjoined twins at Johns Hopkins some years back. He's one of those smart people who, however smart he may be, should stick to his own field. A rock star doesn't write love poetry, etc. He doesn't belong in politics or administration. John Kelly, I forget who/what he is? Quote "We're not above nature, Mr Hacker, we're part of it. Men are animals, too!" "I know that, I've just come from the House of Commons!" [Yes, Minister]
JamesHackerMP Posted March 12, 2018 Author Report Posted March 12, 2018 Oh right, the chief of staff, sorry. I see he's also a retired USMC general. Good for him, but I imagine with his military caste of mind, he would chafe under the yoke of the likes of Donals Trump. I see exactly why you predict Kelly would go. Perhaps, like Gen. Mattis, he probably believes he is serving his country as long as he does it well, no matter who the idiot is he's working for. I would hope, at least. Or assume...(so I guess that'll be Chief Kelly, with the civil war musket, in the West Wing.) Quote "We're not above nature, Mr Hacker, we're part of it. Men are animals, too!" "I know that, I've just come from the House of Commons!" [Yes, Minister]
Queenmandy85 Posted March 13, 2018 Report Posted March 13, 2018 (edited) I was going to say Sessions in the J. Edgar Hoover Building with a candlestick but can I change it to Rex Tillerson in in some TPLC with a noose? Just following Sir Humphrey's and Bernard's advice. JamesHackerMP Posted March 14, 2018 Author Report Posted March 14, 2018 TPLC? Oh, "tin pot little country"....ha! I almost forgot about that one when I started to type this sentence. Forgot you were a fellow Yes Minister fan. Sessions...there's another one ya want to see go. In fact, most of the cabinet. I like General Mattis, though (Defense). I've met Democrats who say they respect him as the only one who's worth it and isn't doing anything really bizarre. Quote "We're not above nature, Mr Hacker, we're part of it. Men are animals, too!" JamesHackerMP Posted March 14, 2018 Author Report Posted March 14, 2018 Congrats, btw, to Impact, who was dead on about Tillerson hanging by a thread! Opened the envelope and sure enough it was Tillerson. Quote "We're not above nature, Mr Hacker, we're part of it. Men are animals, too!" "I know that, I've just come from the House of Commons!"
