scribblet Posted April 10, 2017 Report Posted April 10, 2017 Not sure if this is permissible but will try it here... I'm looking at those Android TV boxes but don't know enough about them to pick one from either Amazon or Ebay so any recommendations would be appreciated. I'm interested in movies of course and TV programming, PM me if you prefer... thanks Quote Hey Ho - Ontario Liberals Have to Go - Fight Wynne - save our province
Ash74 Posted April 11, 2017 Report Posted April 11, 2017 I bought mine at a local computer repair shop. Got to know the owner and being that he is a good guy he taught me how to use it and the tricks that make the boxes easier to use. I would suggest you find somebody local. scribblet Posted April 11, 2017 Author Report Posted April 11, 2017 Thanks for the reply... makes sense. I do have an Amazon firestick which worked fine down south but doesn't like my wifi at home, not strong enough I think, it can't be hardwired. It has Kodi, fully loaded, so don't buy anything that cannot be hardwired. Quote Hey Ho - Ontario Liberals Have to Go - Fight Wynne - save our province
Ash74 Posted April 11, 2017 Report Posted April 11, 2017 Yes I tried it with wifi but hardwired is the way to go. Also a few minutes being taught how to work it will save a ton of aggravation. That's why I suggested not buying one online. Might cost you a few extra bucks but well worth it. I have not had cable for two years now. eyeball Posted April 11, 2017 Report Posted April 11, 2017 (edited) What's the legal status of Android Boxes nowadays? Cable giants step up battle against 'free TV' Android box, but can they win? It sounds like its in some sort of limbo where owning a box and streaming with it is legal but selling the boxes isn't. There is the debate. I don't care. Rogers have been over charging for years. Why should I be paying for stations I don't watch?
