2 Forming Great Canadian Leadership, What They Should Do

By Exegesisme

USA is so excellent, our Canadians are so near but do not know the reason of its excellence. On my observation, the gene is their excellent, clear, and simple constitution, the traits are their elections, political culture formed from their elections, and broad leaderships formed from political culture.

To our Canadian constitution, the written part is too long and too obscure, and even some important part is unwritten, too many secondary affairs are in the constitution. A good constitution should put all secondary affairs away, and concentrate on the formation of national political leadership, which begins from the liberty and rights of citizenship.

Even to our Canadian federal elections, as the most recent one, are just as fast foods, can feed you away from hungry, but lack enough all necessary nutriments. The campaigns are far from enough contests, the candidates are far away from the people, who even do not know the person they will vote for. Canadian political parties do everything for their candidates, who even need not a primary election for nomination.

The easy and weak election makes the weak political leadership and weak political culture. The weak political culture makes weak political people. The weak political people lack intentions and preparations to play good leaderships in all other affairs. This is the core reason why our Canadians have not made more contributions to human civilization. Not because we lack creativities, but we lack great leadership to promote the creativities forward.

To say in detail, our constitution lacks the arrangement to concern the equal rights of minority, which provides the soil for the growth of separatism. We need a senate which can show the equal rights of minorities, as a place to supervise all sorts of majority.

We need designing a new constitution, in which all issues of power are solved or avoided, from which great leadership can logically grow. This should be a national goal of all parties and a great and long mission. What should they do? They should invest in the growth of all sorts of leadership under the long mission, especially through such two things, establishing primary election system and reforming senate on equal rights of minority.

Your opinions are vague and simplistic. You start with "USA is so excellent, our Canadians are so near but do not know why. "...

The first part of the sentence is basic and unchallenging, like an 8-year old who opens the conversation with "I like apples.". My response is usually "...and ?".

The second part of the sentence is unclear. Canadians are near the USA and do not know why ? Because they share a common border, so they can't be any more near by definition, is why.

Having opinions, even unsubstantiated opinions, is sometimes interesting but I would appreciate it if there were some hooks in your posts that people could hang a discussion on.

In this express, the second half is related to the first half, according to context, why=the reason of the excellence of USA. Certainly it is meaningless if I ask why "our Canadians are so near".

Thank you for your concern.

What aspects of the USA's excellence do you feel Canada lacks? What aspects of USA excellence do you hope to emulate?

A good constitution should put all secondary affairs away, and concentrate on the formation of national political leadership, which begins from the liberty and rights of citizenship.

What do you believe is missing from our constitution? What "secondary affairs" would you remove from it? As Michael says, be specific.

Of all the excellent aspects of America that I would want to emulate, their politics are the one I find least excellent and the one I would least want to emulate. Our election campaign was over in 11 weeks; their election campaign is perpetual and ongoing. Watching the conflict and grandstanding in Washington DC makes me feel little interest in making our system more like theirs.

Not emulate, but creatively learning, as their primary election for nomination, their senate.

The real voting rights of MPs, the borderline of the executive branch and party discipline, the power of senate. The rights of citizens in detail need a more specific and practical law and should be away from constitution.

What do you admire in USA?

In USA I am much admiring New Paradigm for Self-Actualization, Spiritual Attunement with Historical Awareness, Outstanding Exegesis for Introspective Fulfillment, and 8 Wise Platitudes for Personal Certitude.

As well as those outstanding properties, America has been the world's leading source of achievement in every area of human endeavour for the past 2-3 centuries, so that's another thing I admire.

Do you want to make a contribution for Canada to become such a leading source in the coming 2-3 centuries?

You have a very wise eye. All these traits are important for them, and make their excellent politics and strong leadership, which in turn encourage them farther develop these traits.

As you admire them in these American traits, do you admire them practically? I mean, do you learn the traits personally? Would you share some of your practice?

Oh, absolutely!

Well, my personal practice is that I start each day with Introspective Dialog with myself, where I ask myself many questions like "what is for breakfast?", "what should I wear?", and "what am I going to accomplish today?"

Then I focus on improving my Personal Certitude with Wise Platitudes and Energetic Affirmation.

My Wise Platitudes include ideas like "Find that thing that you hate to do, then do something else instead."

My Energetic Affirmations include "Do the thing!"

Thank you for your sharing. I had done the same as you when I was in my first two decades of life. Now I have developed a new way with the same function but much more efficiently. Just now your wise platitude inspired me to get this one: "crowning goal head, shoeing goal feet."

Oh, absolutely!

Let's make a way to get the job done.
