maplesyrup Posted November 12, 2004 Report Share Posted November 12, 2004 Bavaria bans teacher headscarves I have always been against public displays of religious artifacts because religions breed intolerance and we don't want to promote intolerance in our society. But according to the Bavarain officials they are banning the headscarves because they oppress women, however they will continue to allow other religions to display their symbols. HybridConservative Posted November 12, 2004 Report Share Posted November 12, 2004 Well Im not muslim but I am a woman and all I have to say is that if those women CHOOSE to continue wearing the head scarves, NO ONE has the right to tell them not to. Also about religion breeding intolerance--goodness isnt intolerant. PEOPLE are intolerant. Period. Back to the headscarves, why dont they make $hit like this optional instead of all out BANNING it?
