Perhaps not ban, because prohibition is not usually effective, but somehow we could substantialy reduce the power of organized religion, by eliminating any charitable tax- exemptions. The only difference between a 'religion' and a 'cult' is their respective social status. In Rome, Christianity was once a 'cult', while the worship of Jupiter (god of the sky) and Apollo (god of life) represented 'religion'. Fashion has changed and now the reverse holds true. There are horrible people in politics. Should we turn to anarchy then? Secondly, yes, it is disgusting that there are so many bishops and whatnot using the sacred cover of the Church to use their profane and revolting and immoral acts. stamps Posted November 12, 2004 Report Share Posted November 12, 2004 The Pope is Gods representative on earth, I'm sure Satan has sent some of his demons to infiltrate and work covertly within the holy Catholic church with the sole mission and purpose of destroying christianitys' only truely genuine,greatest and most tangable sector... all these other so-called christian religions such as the Anglicans, Lutherans, Baptists etc are only cheap imitations and fraudulant and can only be described as tools for Satan... the war against evil is being faught daily within and outside Gods holy Roman Catholic church..... our planets ultimate fate hangs in the balance..... and we will prevail.. They've lasted FAR worse than this and they're they oldest Christian church dated back to the time of Christ. They've survived far more then the evils that yes, HAVE infiltrated. Makes me ill.
