O'Reilly should be thrown in jail.....

Bill O'Reilly is a gas. he's funnier than The Daily Show, albeit unintentionally. This reminds me of when O'Reilly claimed that the Paris Business Review proved his contention that the boycott of French goods was seriously damaging the French economy. Only problem was, there's no such publication. He lied.

I love Bill O'Reilly. He's a parody of himself and of delusional doctrinaire right wingers, oblivious to facts and completely innoculated against any other ideas. Only problem is that there are so many people who take hhim seriously.

Hey where'd you get that quote from Ann Coulter when she said she wished Tim McVey blew up the NY Times...

I like that.

The Canada Tourism Office should hire O'Reilly just to open his mouth. It'll do wonders for Canada's Tourism business.

An education isn't how much you have committed to memory, or even how much you know. It's being able to differentiate between what you do know and what you don't.

You want to know whats even funnier? I asked I Miss Reagan where in Alberta he was from as a bit of a joke, and guess where he is actuially from... No surprise to me, with hi s Pro American and especially PRO Conservative views... Thanks God the the 'NEW' Conservatives (read Right Wing Whacko Alliance) party didn't win the last election! Suffice to say though they will seize on the first oppty to bring down the minority to serve their selves and cost us Millions to have another election so soon.... But I bet this time its a Liberal Majority!

Pro-American *gasp*Oh shakey I'm embarrassed for you. There are more than a couple of Albertans on this forum and not all of them are conservative. And uh guess where this forum is based?

Why be embarrased for me? I just now realize where your misplaced Conservative ideals originate from. After Kleins outburst against an imaginary plot in Ottawa to get Albertas oil revenues I suppose you will all want to seperate as well...

Albertans like you are intolerant and that fits in well with George W's and Bill O'Reillys fans. My point was that your local and your attitudes fit with where you are from.

and if this site is hosted in Alberta, thats great.

Hey you forgot bigot and redneck.

How is it that I am intolerant yet you are the one making personal attacks? Typical from the "open minded" left.

Great new column from Billy O. Canada even manages to get an honourable mention.

The sad truth is that many countries dislike America, and it has little to do with the USA's proactive policy in fighting perceived terror threats. The acrimony is caused by severe differences in philosophy and priorities.

First, there's the economy; it is steadily growing in the USA, but essentially flat in the European Union. The reason is that Americans work longer hours and have fewer work restrictions. Europe is deeply into entitlements, and those extend into the marketplace. If you don't want to work in Scandinavia, for example, the government will support you. And even if you do work, taxes are so high in many European countries that after a while, wage earning isn't worth it. So many ambitious and creative people simply hit the sauna, limiting their accomplishments.

And then there's the secularist philosophy. In the Netherlands they have legalized euthanasia even for children. If you want drugs, you will find them sold openly in Amsterdam. After you score, you can walk on over to the red light district and have sex with a government-approved prostitute. Then you might want to use your drugs in a public coffee shop. No problem. Going Dutch no longer means splitting the check, now it means party hardy.

In Spain, the new socialist prime minister mocks the Catholic Church and surrenders to Al Qaeda. Across the border in France, Jacques Chirac refuses to provide help needed to safeguard elections in Afghanistan and Iraq. In Russia, Putin shuts down the press and incarcerates potential rivals. And John Kerry's going to rally these guys to our cause?

Canada has gradually turned into a secular paradise with socialized medicine, an increasing acceptance of drug use and trafficking, and a bitterly anti-American press. Mexico remains poor and corrupt, and then blames its neighbor to the north for the chaos. That's hilarious when you consider that the U.S. government allows millions of Mexican citizens to live and work here, many of them illegally. In fact, money sent home by Mexican workers accounts for that country's second largest industry after oil.

High Hopes

As a sidnote, Bill is a loudmouth and is very arrogant. He tends to piss off the left which is likely why he has so much appeal.

sorta reminds me of the quote, "I try to keep an open mind but I find it keeps falling out." Personally I think the left over exagerates what they say and the right over exagerates what they say, and the centrists have been impaled by the fence their sitting on. Fox is just as bad as CBC if people don't like it they shouldn't watch. However, I was on Fox's website looking at some articles and I can't say it was as bad as people make it out to be, I couldn't seem to find the glowing coverage on the KKK convention, or the articles demanding the arest of kerry for being to left wing, or the one that says the Republicans should be the only party aloud in the U.S. But I did find one on the debate that says kerry came off really well and round one went to him. Ofcourse I am inclimed to agree with the title, this is truly funny to see people spread more Biased opinions then anyhting I have ever seen on T.V.

The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. - Ayn Rand
