GostHacked Posted January 30, 2013 Report Posted January 30, 2013 When refreshing the site today I noticed the information bar was trying to connect to https://en.gravatar.com/ before loading up the MLW site. Your Gravatar is an image that follows you from site to site appearing beside your name when you do things like comment or post on a blog. Avatars help identify your posts on blogs and web forums, so why not on any site? Um, not comfortable with sites I do not have an involvement in to carry any of my information. What is the purpose of MLW using a site like this? Is it just the avatar or is there other information that the site is holding? Quote

Doesn't it just mean that somebody used an avatar from that site ? I don't see how they could get any info from MLW. Quote Looks like someone has a new patronizing catch phrase ! Michael Hardner
jbg Posted January 31, 2013 Report Posted January 31, 2013 I get a popup from a URL-shortening service that has been banned in the U.S. when I first load up. Quote Free speech: "You can say what you want, but I don't have to lend you my megaphone." Always remember that when you are in the right you can afford to keep your temper, and when you are in the wrong you cannot afford to lose it. - J.J. Reynolds. Will the steps anyone is proposing to fight "climate change" reduce a single temperature, by a single degree, at a single location? The mantra of "world opinion" or the views of the "international community" betrays flabby and weak reasoning (link).

Could use tracking cookies to see how you are interacting with other sites. Seen that kind of thing before. Quote

Then that site is putting tracking cookies on your computer no ? Doesn't seem to have anything to do with MLW. Quote Looks like someone has a new patronizing catch phrase ! Michael Hardner
