I'm sure he sympathizes with people who pissed away public funds and cry when they're being held accountable for what they did wrong.

Within hours of the audit being leaked – Spence supporters immediately howled that the audit is wrong – the whole Attawapiskat story was collapsing into a typical Liberal government spending scandal: millions gone, nobody knows where, shrugs all around.

ORNGE and eHealth were only bigger by a few magnitudes, but the wasteful practices of Queen’s Park were obviously taken to heart by Attawapiskat and used as a template for spending, there, too.

As if on cue, Ontario Finance Minister Dwight Duncan took Spence’s side Monday morning, questioning by Twitter why “cowards had ‘leaked’ the ‘audit’” to discredit her.

“Too much tough love not enough love for our aboriginal brothers and sisters,” Duncan declared in a smarmy Tweet that immediately flashed across the country.

Duncan, the guy who blew more than $100 billion while doubling Ontario’s debt as finance minister, defends embattled chief for wasting a mere $100 million. In the Twitterverse, the blasts of outrage were blistering.

When you think of unaccountable to how one spends government money, the first thing I think of is the McGuinty Liberals so this shouldn't have been surprising.

There will be a new Liberal leader next month. I wish these people would stop talking, they QUIT!

In fact plenty of Liberals have been coming to defense of Spence's apparent fraud. Carolyn Bennet and former PM Paul Martin have come to her defense too.

What have/did the McGuinty Liberals or the Chretien/Martin Liberals ever do to make aboriginal affairs better?

Apparently nothing.

The national Liberals are following the example they set in the GroupAction/Sponsorship scandal.

I really shouldn't say that since Theresa Spence is an admirable, constructive force.. I certainly thing Harper and the Queen should sit down and agree to pay her more protection money negotiate with her over the FN's needs and aspirations.
