Is this the price the US has to pay for its citizens to bear the right to arms?

I personally am sickened by the constant mass shootings down there.

I want no part in the US,no desire to visit there,no attraction towards US culture,politics or foreign/domestic policy!

I wonder how much people can really put up with???

The shooter was a mentally ill convicted murderer (he killed his own grandmother) who had been released from prison. The problem isn't guns, it's violent mentally ill people and the lack of proper treatment, monitoring, and institutionalization programs.

It's in my opinion that there are several if not numerous influencing forces or lack of.

Nothing has gone wrong. If you've been paying attention, homicides at at a 50 year low in the U.S.; at the low end of 100 years . It's still a strong country. It still has a strong sense of optimism. That you dwell on the negative doesn't change all the good.

I think that you are telegraphing what I have suspected for a long time while here at MLW: Some Canadians are very uneasy at the prospect of a Canada on its own, without the social, economic and political relationship they have known all their lives. Just a mention of stopping or impeding cross border travel starts a panic.
