Guest American Woman Posted December 16, 2012 Report Posted December 16, 2012 Perhaps, but maybe just not entertaining people. As somebody said, this is an entertainment-focused list, and America and the UK are by far the biggest English-language entertainment markets. Half of the people on the list aren't in the entertainment business - there's an Olympic winner, a Governor, a Secretary of State, a Prince, and an army General. Quote
Guest Posted December 17, 2012 Report Posted December 17, 2012 Here's a fascinating person. I saw this obit in the Telegraph today and I was really taken with the story of the two germans. Especially that, if the obituary can report that they are both still alive, he must have kept in touch with them right up until his death. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/obituaries/military-obituaries/naval-obituaries/9748800/Commander-Tony-Shaw.html I wonder what he would have made of Honey Boo Boo. You can't really take this list seriously as a definitive "most fascinating people list". It has a target audience, and has a certain spin to it. This is the kind of list you might see in People Magazine. A list made for ABC likely will be different than one by CNN or PBS. The list if also dependent on who they can actually get to sit down with them in an interview. kim jong-un might not be available haha Quote "All generalizations are false, including this one." - Mark Twain Partisanship is a disease of the intellect.
