maplesyrup Posted August 30, 2004 Report Posted August 30, 2004 Harper vanishes from view In Harper's case, there is a widespread sense that, in the absence of the reasonable certainty that he can leap from his current position to that of leader of a sustainable government in the potentially short time between now and the next election, he might yet decide to call it quits.Meanwhile, he is certainly going out of his way to live up to the prediction that he will never have the people skills required to move the party forward. I think Chantal has nailed it this time. There is no way Harper has the people skills to become prime minister. Harper should quit while he is ahead, because the Conservatives will his leadership will get less votes and seats the next time around. willy Posted August 30, 2004 Report Posted August 30, 2004 I think Layton should pass the bong he keeps hoging it. Quote
Big Blue Machine Posted August 30, 2004 Report Posted August 30, 2004 There isn't really anyone to replace him. He should go for a more years, then call a leadership race. Bakunin Posted August 30, 2004 Report Posted August 30, 2004 I think the conservative need a progressive prime minister, they need to focus on ontario because if the conservative did not win it wasn't because the people wanted to elect the liberal, its because they where afraid of the conservative and harper failed to comfort them. But its hard to find a good leader these day... Quote
Big Blue Machine Posted August 30, 2004 Report Posted August 30, 2004 John Crosbie should run! LOL. He would be the class of the field. He's progessive. maplesyrup Posted August 30, 2004 Author Report Posted August 30, 2004 But its hard to find a good leader these day... I think it is a rare anytime. Maybe only when we are faced with a big crisis do exceptional leaders surface. I found politics fascinating when Trudeau and Levesque were around. Since then well..........you know the rest of the story. Quote An education isn't how much you have committed to memory, or even how much you know. maplesyrup Posted August 31, 2004 Author Report Posted August 31, 2004 Leaders spend aimless summer If this keeps up Jack Layton and the New Democrats will win by default just for showing up. Bro Posted August 31, 2004 Report Posted August 31, 2004 We had a defeat Canada ,quebec separitist party as opposition, does this not put some writing on the wall for Canada, like maybe get a F...ing backbone, and stop kissing ass from every group who says Canada has no ideals worth upholding.Harper,at this moment will be the only politician capable of this, but the Canadian populace has to first have enough common sense to know that the liberal road we are on now spells the demise of our great democratic country.
