PIK Posted September 14, 2012 Report Posted September 14, 2012 Didn't the CPC cut the GST by 2%? I wasn't a fan of the HST but it was done to "sorta" streamline the system. It sucked the first few months to see new charges on essentials like Gas, Hydro and Heating fuel but the public has pretty much absorbed it. At least here in Ontario, can't comment on BC. I know BC is a bit more PO'd about the HST. The GST, is that tax the liberal goverment at the time said it would cancell it altogther? Quote Toronto, like a roach motel in the middle of a pretty living room.
Boges Posted September 14, 2012 Report Posted September 14, 2012 The GST, is that tax the liberal goverment at the time said it would cancell it altogther? Did Macleans do a report about the Chretien Liberals claim to cancel the GST to be "farcical" at the time? Quote
madmax Posted September 15, 2012 Author Report Posted September 15, 2012 (edited) Did Macleans do a report about the Chretien Liberals claim to cancel the GST to be "farcical" at the time? Generally news tends to be current. And the answer to your query above would be yes. And I would also agree with your previous post about this being about nothing, thus the subtitle in header. I think its going to be a failed tactic and the Conservatives will move on to something else, looking for a smear that will stick. Edited September 15, 2012 by madmax Quote
Newfoundlander Posted September 15, 2012 Report Posted September 15, 2012 I guess theCPC decided to get even with the NDP. Quote
