Ya the blacks, the jews, what's the difference, right Bleeding Heart? You said it. Not me.

What is the difference in your argument? Seriously. I know they are different groups of people but your argument wouldn't. You say race is an issue because Blacks vote democrat. There are lots of groups that vote democrat so you want to come up with another argument because as it has been pointed out to you that argument could be applied to many groups.

Yep. That's how Dems need the world to be. They benefit from division.

So your reason that one group that votes Democratic is different from the other in your argument is just because. Sounds like a Mitt Romney answer.

Ahh yes, the old Dem line that they mysteriously "switched sides"

Jerry, do you or have you ever lived in the US ? If so, where? I am 70+ years old and have lived my entire life in the state of Texas; at one time controlled by a very racist Democratic Party. After LBJ betrayed the Texas Democrats by passing the Civil Rights legislation, the exodus began....so don’t tell me that is a Dem line, it is not a line it is a reality that I lived.

Republicans are the party of the colourless individual. The Dems are the party of racial blocks. Everybody knows this. Which is why from a left wing standpoint any person of colour who is a rising star in the conservative movement must be destroyed. The minute blacks start realizing they aren't a big voting block but individuals with aspirations and the desire to rise above dependency is the minute the Democratic party is over forever.

If you want any establish any credibility in your opinions, you really need to do more research on some of those people you think are worthy of our time to read.....try again. Republicans don’t even like this man that you are linking.

Finally, there’s Weaver, who has stirred up so much controversy in the 53rd race, that there’s a website — Clarence Mason Weaver: Liar, unemployed, failed author and congressional candidate — for voters rooting against him. It is unclear who is behind the website.

Still, it isn’t a negative race if you ask Weaver. Not surprisingly, Crimmins and Freidman disagree.

As Crimmins put it, “Mason Weaver continues to weave a web of dirty politics and malicious lies.”

Crimmins said Weaver has lied on his resume, claiming, for instance, that he served as a combat veteran in Vietnam when he did not. Combat Veterans for Congress, a political action committee, later announced that Weaver was not a combat veteran.

I take no pleasure from your reading difficulties. Slightly more from your allegation of bigotry, although the desperation that underlines it makes me feel vaguely compassionate. (You'll need to look that word up.) But your attempts at deflection! Now they're worth a little smile, surely.

Thanks, Bitsy. As usual, your sane voice.

70 years young? You might be the oldest person on MLW that I know of. I bet you have some good stories to tell.

Both sides benefit from that division.

Yes, I do and let me say up front...none that fit with Jerry's or Shady's alternate vision of life in the US of A.

That didn't answer my question at all Jerry. The fact is your answer of why you don't give Blacks a pass but you do give Jewish Americans a pass is still JUST CUZ.

Hey dude, I'm not the one who supoprts the party that makes campaign and gov't policy geared toward this.

Good to know where you get your information on race in American, makes it much easier for me to ignore. When the discussion first began, I thought you might just be a victim of some mistaken legitimatacy but it is plain that was not the case.

WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT BE SPECIFIC. Right now you are just rambling.

The Democrat party has a vested interested in moving voters into blocks - "groups".

Conservatives see no colour. We see liberty, small government and freedom. That's good for everybody.

AN evaporation of voting "groups" means the democrats never win another election...ever.

Aren't they?

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/story/2007/06/30/bce-teachers.html

People own corporations. Mom and dad. Teachers. Firefighters. Families. Millions of people (most people) work within corporations.

Most peoples' retirement owns corporations. So how do corporations not consist of people?

I kind of feel sorry for you. You are so lost, you are so angry at corporations and stuff. Occupy guy are we?

It's tough being poor, but really the answer isn't anger and envy and resentment. Just get up and do something. Create something. Work. You would be surprised and amazed at what can come if you just stop being angry at other peoples' success and just start building your own.

I wish you luck. But I believe you are too far down in the pit of envy.

Yep. They wrote off the white vote, and the male vote, decades ago. They almost don't even try anymore.

Given the black vote is, at most, 10% of the population, and the latino vote less than that, could you have a go at explaining how the Democrats are winning with 20% of the vote?

It's not that the Democrats wrote off the white male vote. It's that the Republicans wrote off all non-white votes, as well as all women other than the peyton place bunch. Who votes Republican now anyway but dumb as dirt, uneducated whites, the supper income types with two car garages and 4,000 square foot homes who resent helping to keep the poor alive, and the religious freaks?

So do you think Romney will actually say to American blacks "I'm gonna put y'all back in chains"?

It is the Dems,by and large that want to make race an issue in this election.

I'm guessing that there are more blacks on entitlement programs now then there were before 2008.How is this progressive in any way?

Would you think it was progressive to boot them off and just have them starving?

Republicans are trying to role back the civil rights act? Who knew?

Just about anyone with even a passing familiarity with the frenzied Republican efforts over the last year to require 'identification' for voters.
