August1991 Posted July 17, 2012 Report Posted July 17, 2012 Here's a link: Amazon 1. I reckon that Malouf is a right wing nationalist/separatist. He fears that the QS will split the nationalist vote. This book aims to help the PQ by removing the low hanging fruit of the QS: Khadir. 2. Malouf goes on and on about Israel but in a sense, he's really talking about Quebec. Malouf understands that Quebec, like Israel, is a small western liberal society. 3. This book opposes, in its own way, Quebec received wisdom, conventional wisdom. This book is well written. It's a delight to read. (Heck, the references are often youtube videos!) I hope that Stephen Harper has read it by now - in the original. Pierre Trudeau, if he were alive, certainly would have. The text is almost as good as his writings of French Quebec. I strongly recommend this book to anyone who can read French, and is interested in Canadian politics. Quote
TheNewTeddy Posted July 23, 2012 Report Posted July 23, 2012 The opposite should happen really. Quebec parties need to become more focused on the right-left divide and less on federalist-nationalist Quote Feel free to contact me outside the forums.
