Guest Derek L Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 The federal Conservatives are split between the BCL and BCC while the BCL is split between the federal Conservatives and the federal Liberals. This is very true, as a Federal CPC member it’s becoming a very tough choice…..The first Provincial election I was of age to vote in (‘83) the choice was clear with the Socreds…….then after living out of Province for most of the 80s, the next election I voted in upon returning to BC was in ‘91, which basically saw the end of the Social Credit Party………I again missed the ‘96 election, but after seeing the destruction caused by the Provincial NDP throughout the 90s, it left many of us Right leaning voters with Gordo in 2001.…….. I would consider myself a lukewarm BC Liberal supporter and unless the BC Conservative Party becomes a viable option prior to next year, I’ll probably vote Liberal again, unless strategic voting comes into place, and I’d consider the BC Greens…….Anyone but the BC NDP……..As a Province, we can’t afford the public sector unions NDP in office again. punked Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 (edited) 1%. That's laughable. More like 40% of NDP membership leans to the Socialist Caucus. I know that you are trying to take Shady's place as the most miss informed member on the forum but this is just plan crazy. Seriously know where you got that 40% number? You took it out of your butt that is where. Here is a fact the last time we had a leadership race (which is one member one vote) Bev Meslo the socialist caucus candidate, they got a whole 1% of the vote. At almost every convention the socialist caucus tries to get their resolutions to the floor it take around 10% support to get your resolution on the order sheet to go the floor, they NEVER GET THEIR RESOLUTIONS TO THE FLOOR. I know you have trouble with how numbers work so I will say it again. The Socialist Caucus is a fringe group in the NDP who have every right to exist but make up around 1% of the membership. All the facts support that and the only place they hold any power is inside your head under your tin foil hat. Edited March 9, 2012 by punked Quote

Jack Weber Posted March 10, 2012 Report Posted March 10, 2012 The BC NDP is the most left-wing NDP in Canada The BC Liberals are the most right-wing Liberals in Canada And the BC Conservatives are the most right-wing Conservatives in Canada These are facts that can be backed up, not though silly conspiracy links, not even though the MSM, but though reading their very own platforms. 'kay... But someone just said that the NDP are left of Communists... Is that even possible?? I mean,to be left of the most extreme left? Quote The beatings will continue until morale improves!!!

punked Posted March 10, 2012 Report Posted March 10, 2012 Does BC deserve four years of NDP? What a dumb question. The question should be: Will the people of BC decide to have 4 years of the NDP. Quote
lukin Posted March 10, 2012 Report Posted March 10, 2012 Does BC deserve four years of NDP? If the residents of B.C. want their province destroyed...then sure....why not? Quote
punked Posted March 10, 2012 Report Posted March 10, 2012 If the residents of B.C. want their province destroyed...then sure....why not? Don't worry the Liberals are doing a great job of that, I am sure if the people of BC want that they can just keep with the same old same old. Quote

That’s not with keeping of the facts of the Provincial realities……..We’re currently in a deficit of ~1 billion dollars……..AKA the number we’re required to pay back after the HST referendum………..And strangely enough, the BC NDP’s talking points in relation to the Teachers contract dispute is that we could afford the Teacher’s demands of 15% raise (~2 billion further in the hole) but the BC Liberals are making our economic plight worse than it really is so as to deny the Teacher’s request.
