(As I clearly “predicted” a few months ago) After reading those misinformed/slanted statements within the article, I tend to pay not much heed to the rest…….. The large, surveillance UAV, is part of both JUSTAS, and the program to replace the CP-140 Aurora. The program will be for 6 - 8 UAVs and 10 - 12 manned aircraft. This sort of thing is becoming quite common in the MSM. There was a time when reporters came from all walks of life and usually were the type of person who who practiced an interest in many different things. This gave them a generalist's view of most issues. They wrote pertinent articles on many topics. They knew enough to recognize when they DIDN'T know something and would do a bit of research before writing. Today, reporters come barreling out of specialty journalism programs from Ryerson or Queens, not knowing how to put a plug on a lamp or even how an incandescent light bulb works! They've never even made a paper airplane yet they will write articles like those mentioned here! It's kind of scary, when you start to think about it. Too true……I won’t just disparage the MSM, but those in many levels of Government also……..Just reading about the Crown suggesting that fellow who’s house was firebombed , had a wheel gun that automatically ejects the casings was purely laughable………Or the other day when the RCMP located that suspect’s truck in Alberta and found a .50 Cal rifle…….CTV was quick to report that .50 Cal rifles are illegal in Canada……. It cuts for all subjects, whatever your political slant……..Guns, oil, healthcare, farming, the environment, the military……… My wife won’t allow me to watch CSI with her because I’m quick to point out the factual errors relating to ballistics…Call me a wet blanket…. They have to be made in canada otherwise it is just a ripoff for the taxpayers. If Canada allows itself to continue to be subjected to foreign procurements it is just flushing money down the toilet in an ever increasing inability to create its own self defence.
